'Supernatural': Dean Winchester's School for the Soulless

Well, "Supernatural" fans, Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) still doesn't have a soul, and he won't be getting it back any time soon. In the meantime, Dean (Jensen Ackles) is doing his best to teach Sam how to at least pretend to have normal human emotions.In the last episode, Sam finally admitted that he's not really Sam. "All that blah-blah-blah about being the old me? Crap," he confessed. "I don't even really care about you, except that I need your help, and you're clearly not going to stick around for much longer if I don't give it to you straight."
Since Dean isn't really a fan of hanging around with Robo-Sam, in next week's episode, he's going to try to give Sam some pointers on, well, not being a total jerk. While the brothers are hunting what seems to be an alien, Sam makes a bizarre query.
"Okay, look, this brings up a question. So, say you've got a soul, and you're on a case, and your brother gets abducted by aliens," he asks. "What about when there are no more leads for the night? I mean, you're supposed to just sit there in the dark and suffer, even when there's nothing that can be done at that moment?"
"Yes!" Dean says. "You sit in the dark and you feel the loss."
"Absolutely, but couldn't I just do all that, and have sex with the hippie chick? It would be in the dark."
We can't decide if this is funny or really, really sad, but we like this new approach.

That clip is pretty funny and I am really looking forward to that episode.
What makes me sad is that Sam doesn't seem to get his soul back "anytime soon". How are they supposed to bond and get closer again when Sam doesn't care about Dean? And as long as he doesn't have his soul that's probably not going to change. In order for the relationship to develop he really needs it back and I am hoping it will happen before the winter hiatus or at least 1 or 2 episodes after.
I love new Sam until I think about the effect this is probably having on Dean. Then I want to cry. I'm very confused.
One thing this show does really well is take something funny and turn it into something dark (and often heartbreaking). On the surface this conversation is funny but when you dig a bit deeper, what this exchange represents is really sad. Poor boys. I'm really excited about this episode though.
Its alot like this: "And if ye shall say there is no law, ye shall also say there is no sin. If ye shall say there is no sin, ye shall also say there is no righteousness nor happiness there be no punishment nor misery."
Your spirit is basically aware of good and evil and you either choose good that will make you happy and if you choose evil you may feel guilt for the first time, but not if you keep diggin at it. But what is good and evil? Well that's a new subject that is debated all over mankind.
LOL Sam. On the other hand I miss 'Sam' more than words, we need him back soon.
Ok, I’m going to say what everybody is saying in the web. This show was about two young hot brothers. Where are they! These actors are still young men, but they look like 40 year old guys (especially Sam, his face looks horribly chubby... what the hell happened to his face!).
To whoever is in charge: do something to improve Sam and Dean’s appearance. The actors are still young, order them to stop eating, to exercise... hire an stylist adviser for them or a new director of photography for the show, because the ratings are going to go down (even below 2 million).

Don't agree with you, or at least I would if we were still at the second season. I think Sam and Dean's appereance was important at the beginning of the series, in order for us to fall in love with them but now I'm much more interested in the story of the two brothers and how it will develope now with Soulless Sam=) And I still think that both the guys are pretty hot. Sorry for my english, I'm not American

I still think the boys are hot. I have no idea what kind of cloth is over your eyes but yeah they're still in great shape. Haven't you noticed Sam with his shirt off? Ab central.
