'Smallville': Wedding bells for Clark and Lois?

As if the final season of "Smallville" wasn't action-packed enough... could wedding bells be in the future for iconic couple Clark Kent (Tom Welling) and Lois Lane (Erica Durance)? Our TV Magic 8-Ball says "outlook good" for all you "Clois" fans.In last week's episode, Lois had an impromptu family reunion when General Sam Lane (Michael Ironside) returned to the show. Though he and Clark initially didn't get along well, especially since the General had a serious anti-superhero agenda, they warmed up to each other after The Blur saved Lois' life.
In fact, Clark even pulled the General aside to ask him a personal question that pertained to Clark's relationship with Lois. Though viewers weren't privy to their conversation, it's not much of a leap to assume that Clark may have been asking for The General's blessing in preparation for asking Lois's hand in marriage.
E! Online has been teasing an upcoming TV engagement. Editor Kristin Dos Santos teases that one of three couples will be getting engaged. It may be Michael and Holly from "The Office," Blair and Chuck from "Gossip Girl," or... drumroll please... Clark and Lois from "Smallville."
Since Michael and Holly haven't dated in years and Blair and Chuck are currently putting the sex in hate sex, we're going to put our eggs in the Clark and Lois basket.
In comic book lore, Clark and Lois do eventually marry. In 1996 "Superman: The Wedding Album" was released, which featured art from almost every living "Superman" artist. In the book, Lucy Lane was Lois's maid of honor and Jimmy Olsen was Clark's best man.

Bring. It. On. We all know Clark and Lois are made for each other, and considering its track record, this show's due for a wedding that doesn't end in disaster.
I was against an engagement, but if it happens I'll be happy.
I would love it! Clark and Lois are my favourite tv couple. Besides, what Smallville is doing this season is mind-blowing; they are all great episodes and the one coming this Friday seems really especial, I can hardly wait, Love this show so much and I'm so gonna miss it when it ends!

I think Lois and Clark getting engaged would be awesome, some people think it may be too soon but they've know each other for years, dated a while, said ily's, are completely open about Clarks 'blur' activities... I think its just about time. I also like how they hinted to it in Ambush, like they're building up to it and not just gonna spring it on us. Gives fans a chance to warm up to the idea- which shouldn't take too long. :) The writers have done such an awesome job this season, I completely have faith in them with an engagement and I think they will handle it perfectly. Another great Clois moment to add to the pile from this season. I say, bring out the rings and get down on one knee- its about time Clark finds true happiness and embraces it.
Yes, please! When Clark told the General he was hoping he could ask him a question concerning Lois...I nearly lost it! I'm really hoping for an engagement for these two. Clark's been so happy this season (Lois, too) and I want to keep it going that way!

I am completely jazzed at the idea of them getting engaged! It just makes sense for one. Given the natural progression of their relationship, it's the logical next step. They both know they want to spend their lives together; why NOT get engaged? And I think Clark married and happy and out as Superman would be the most satisfying ending the series could have, given how much his conviction that he was destined to be alone has colored the series.
Also: SQUEEEEE. They are so wonderful and adorable and I love them. If (when? oh man, I can't believe I can actually say when! Season 4 me would die of shock) they get engaged, I will be hugging everyone within a 10 mile radius.
yes YES!!! please yes woohoo yes to Clois engagement, I just screamed OMG OMG OMG when Clark said that to the General. Me want Clois engagement, and a wedding YES¡¡!!
