'Skating With the Stars' cast includes Bethenny Frankel, Sean Young, Vince Neil
When the current season of "Dancing With the Stars" comes to a close, ABC will test the (frozen) waters with its icy spin-off, "Skating With the Stars."
And the network revealed, during the Nov 2. "DWTS" results show, the select six celebrities who will be donning skates for the short freshman season, which kicks off with a live Nov. 22 premiere:
The Stars
Bethenny Frankel, star of Bravo's "Bethenny Getting Married?" and formerly "The Real Housewives of New York," who also runs a small health food empire
Vince Neil, rock star and founding member of Mötley Crüe
Sean Young, the 50-year-old actress and star of iconic '80s films such as "Blade Runner," "Dune" and "No Way Out." She's currently appearing as Meggie McClaine on CBS' "The Young and the Restless."
Rebecca Budig, "All My Children's" Greenlee Smythe
Jonny Moseley, gold-medal-winning Olympic skier and TV personality
Brandon Mychal Smith, 21-year-old actor, rapper, comedian, singer and co-star of "Sonny With a Chance" (These Disney kids wear so many hats.)
Any favorites on the first to fall on their bum? Look over pictures of each of them in the "Skating With the Stars" gallery.

Not bad! Remember this is only the 1st season cast, dwts had a similar casting for its 1st season too now look at where it is? Still one of the most popular shows on television. It this show starts out decent, say 9-15 million viewers it should be ok. Than mayber winter 2011 we could have a better emsomble.
Lame cast. Lame show.
Yes, they did and it was horrible, as will this be. Who will be off first, its a toss up between Sean Young and Vince Neil. Most importantly, hahaha, who cares!
Didn't FOX do this earlier as a competitor to DTWS? If i remember correctly, it was Skating with Celebrities.
correction for B, the correct spelling is ensemble
There was a show on Fox called skating with celebrities. I thought it was a really good show. Only lasted one season. Looking forward to this show.
Lame concept. Failed once already.
I agree with Andrew - please don't make it sound like ABC came up with the premise of this show, when it first originated in Canada and is a huge success....too bad the Americans can't get CBC and Battle of the Blades, as I think they'd enjoy this show.
Hmm...
(Olympian) Jonny Moseley = Bruce Jenner
(Child star) Brandon Mychal Smith = Todd Bridges
(80s pop icon) Sean Young = Debbie Gibson
("B" list actress) Rebecca Budig = Kristy Swanson
("Reality" celeb) Bethenny Frankel = Jillian Barberie
Which leaves:
Vince Neil = Dave Coulier
This show is a rip off of Battle of the Blades on CBC in Canada. The only difference is that Battle of the Blades has former NHL players paired with figure skaters. At least hockey players already know how to skate. Putting "celebrities", that have probably seldom worn skates before, on ice is just going to be terrible.
