'Dancing With the Stars': Paula Abdul betting on Jennifer Grey
From the beginning of this season of "Dancing
With the Stars," Paula Abdul figured Jennifer Grey would win."Pretty much after seeing the first two episodes, I put my bets on Jennifer," Abdul tells Zap2it. The former "American Idol" judge began as a dancer, and it remains her first love.
"This is the first season I was not able to watch practically anything," she says. "I was working nonstop."
Abdul is executive producer, a mentor and judge on CBS' upcoming "Live to Dance," and has been traveling the country, auditioning dancers and working on the show.
She usually follows "DWTS," and says, "I have it TiVoed," she says. "I try not to look online. I don't want to know. Then somebody walked in today and said, 'Brandy is off. Bristol [Palin] is probably going on.'"
But Grey's grace caught her eye.
"People are happy to see her," Abdul says.

I truly think that in order for Dancing With The Stars to continue to be watched, there is going to have to be a revamp of the guidelines. Since it is a DANCING show, why not let the judges scores carry more weight than the voters. The judges KNOW how the dances should be performed so therefore more importance should be place in that area when the overall scores are tabulated. We tuned in to see a dancing competion NOT a popularity contest where voters can vote "illegally" to get their favorite person higher ratings. I am afraid that the 11th season will "go down in history" as the beginning of the end for Dancing With The Stars if something isn't done by season 12.So many people are vowing not to watch again already. It would be much fairer to the contestants and much more enjoyable to the viewers if all the contestants had at least some knowledge of dancing and "showbiz" exposure. Would you pit an NFL football player against someone who had never played football in a competition?? I do hope the Excutives of Dancing With The Stars "see the light" before all goes dark on the set of the competion. What a shame that would be.
It is the same as IDOl, you need to vote on the talent and alot of idol contastants gets thru with loooks and personality not there voice- DWTS could do a save like Idol , - I guess it makes good TV,, for the receord I thought Brandy was a good dancer but she was to stiff and look like she really wasn't having fun , and unless you vote they than dont say anything
