'Parks and Recreation': Parker Posey comes to Pawnee
We still don't know when "Parks and Recreation" will be on the air this season, but we do have some news about one of its guest stars for Season 3.Parker Posey ("Best in Show," "Superman Returns") is filming an episode this week in which she plays a former friend-turned-rival of Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler). "Parks and Rec" executive producer Mike Schur tweeted the news over the weekend.
Posey's character is now Leslie's counterpart in the parks department of a nearby town called Eagleton, which considers itself superior to Pawnee in just about every way (think Shelbyville vs. Springfield in "The Simpsons"). Sparks fly when Leslie and her ex-friend cross paths.
The role will be Posey's first TV work since she guested on an episode of HBO's "Bored to Death" last year. She also starred in the short-lived FOX sitcom "The Return of Jezebel James" in 2008.
NBC hasn't set its midseason schedule yet, so we're still awaiting word of where and when "Parks and Rec" will air.

I hope she does it like her character in Best in Show, so hot. I probably can't say the b word her but Parkey plays an awesome b. The attractive kind of b.
"Get up, get up. Up, up, up, Air Raid!"
This is great casting! Parker Posey has a superb improv background, and those are the kind of guest stars this show needs to seek out. Now just yank "Outsourced" off and return "Parks and Rec" to its rightful throne in the Thursday night line-up!
Cancel Outsourced and give me my Parks and Recreation NOW! Please? I miss Ron Swanson and everyone else from the cast.
It's back and I haven't missed an episode now that I have a Sling Adapter. I first heard about this device at work, DISH Network, and had to have one. I hate missing a show as it airs, and now I can watch them all live as they air on my Android no matter where I am. This season is already spectacular and I'm not missing an episode no matter how often I'm not home!
