'Glee': Gwyneth Paltrow's 'Forget You' busts out The Robot
Oh Gwynnie, we're just not sure what to think about this one.Gwyneth Paltrow earned props for her performance of "Country Strong" at the CMAs Wednesday night (Nov. 10) and will continue her musical showcase on "Glee" Tuesday, Nov. 16 in the episode "The Substitute."
As the title indicates, she's filling in for Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) who rushed off for an emergency hair re-perming (or something, we're not sure).
As early pictures indicate, Paltrow will be singing at least two numbers: A "Singin' in the Rain/Umbrella" mashup and "Forget You," the sanitized version of Cee-Lo Green's "F*** You."
All we have to say is, the tambourine at the beginning makes us cringe, but then ... she busts out THE ROBOT. No, really. Watch:

She sounds as good as anyone else on current Top 40 radio.
I may be in the minority, but I think she sounds and looks great. Her character seems kind of kooky, so it makes sense that she would do something as lame as the robot. I actually find it to be quite endearing.
I really enjoyed her version of the song. It's adorable, and I'm not a big Gwyneth fan. She's no Cee-Lo, but you can hardly expect her to be.
I expect to enjoy the numbers but ultimately be like..'can we get back to the show?' Because seriously... I'm really tired of the guest stars.

The glee kids sell the song. A few guest stars are fine but it is starting to lose its appeal.
That "robot" move is from Ke$ha's Tik Tok. Check out a youtube video, eg the one from Ellen's show a year or so ago.
