'Glee' Darren Criss: Are you a fan of the new guy? Vote!
We heartily approve of "Glee's" recurring guest stars this season.Add Darren Criss to the happy Gleek Season 2 family that includes Chord Overstreet, John Stamos and Dot Jones.
Criss, who debuted as Dalton Academy student Blaine on Tuesday's (Nov. 9) episode "Never Been Kissed," opens up Kurt's (Chris Colfer) world to being openly gay AND happy in high school. Oh, Kurt. We want that for you too. So far, Blaine seems to be exactly what Kurt needs during this difficult, confusing time.

As Zap2it previously reported when Criss first was announced, he's part of the cult favorite "A Very Potter Musical," a funny stage musical set in the world of Harry Potter.

"I play at cafes and shops every week and my sets are almost always dominated by my own versions of Disney covers, oldies, pop hits and generally cool songs. So if you have never seen me live, here are some crappy videos of me playing some of those songs. They're not the best versions of what I can put out there, but I didn't want to do more than one take, because, hey, it's youtube. So forgive mistakes and just try to enjoy what I got!"

I love Darren/Blaine. I really hope he's here to stay as Kurt's boyfriend. Having that thug steal Kurt's first kiss was full of yuck.
I am so excited that Darren is joining the show. I am totally crazed about "A Very Potter Musical" and love his performance, so I was thrilled when I saw him in tonights episode! There will be a lot of heartbroken fans if he leaves. Congrats, Darren!! :)

I'd be more excited to see him interact more with the behemoth, kiss stealing football guy...opposites attract, taking someone out of the closet etc. Think it would also be a great time to tell gay bullying story with him.
I think Blaine is a red herring. I think he will stay around for awhile as Kurt's friend but the boyfriend will wind up being the football bully. Darren Criss will be too big for this show in a matter of months. His "Teenage Dream" aside from being the only real glee club type moment in the entire series basically showed how much more charisma than any other cast member he has.
He could do better than Kurt.
What would he see in Kurt? Kurt is so effeminate and what an annoying smile. He looked like a 2 year old at Christmas when he watched Blaine sing. Yuck!

OMG! Darren is amazing! I officially hope that he's not gay in real life, but I would date him in a heartbeat. Plus, Blaine is such a sweet character and is exactly what Kurt needs. He needs to stay on the show!
