Disney cancels 'JONAS L.A.' after two seasons

jonas-brothers.gifSomewhere out there, Taylor Swift is reading this and cackling.

Disney has decided not the renew the Jonas Brothers' show "JONAS L.A." for another season, reports TV Guide.

The comedy, which aired for two seasons, drew an average of 3.7 million viewers during its latest season. That's not a bad number for cable, but it's a lot less than some other Disney shows. "Hannah Montana," for instance, attracted 7.1 million viewers on Sunday (Nov. 7).

"We've been fortunate to work with the enormously talented Jonas Brothers on several projects, including the Emmy-nominated series 'JONAS L.A.,'" a Disney Channel spokesperson says. "We look forward to working with them on new projects in the future."

So what are each of the Jonai up to now that their show will not be returning? The brothers recently wrapped on the North American leg of their Jonas Brothers Live Concert Tour. Middle bro Joe guest-starred on Monday's episode of "90210" and previously guested on Betty White's show "Hot in Cleveland." He's currently working on a solo album. Nick released an album last year with his band, Nick Jonas & the Administration. He also performed in London last summer as Marius in "Les Miserables." Kevin is enjoying married life and recently celebrated his 23rd birthday. His wife, Danielle, threw a surprise party for the oldest Jonas.

Thank God Disney has finally come to its senses!!

Awww. ): I don't even watch the show and I feel sad.

Well, Kathryn, you should feel sad. If you care enough to be sad, but don't even watch the show, then I'm afraid you're partly to blame for this.

I, on the other hand, don't watch the show either, but I don't care.

Thank goodness. I watched a few episodes just to see what it was all about. Talk about painful. Horrible acting, writing, everything. The only thing it was good for was staring at Joe. He needs to go shirtless sometimes.

Even my kids hated this show, and they watch everything on Disney and nick!

Nicole Anderson was good & will move on to better things. Its time for the Jo Bros to make it without Disney.

it never made sense for them to do the show in the first place.. a show about a life they already have lived themselves

Maybe Disney was tired of overpaying them. Music and merchandise is where the money is at with these kids. Paying them a couple million more for a show isn't a good business decision. Disney needs new blood.
