Crystal Bowersox tweets debut album cover; Neil Diamond feels sorry for contestants
Season 9 runner-up Crystal Bowersox has tweeted the cover of her debut album, "Farmer's Daughter." The album is set to drop Dec. 14. Bowersox tweets the CD will have 12 tracks, two of which will be covers. Two of her pre-"Idol"
songs, "Holy Toledo" and "Farmer's Daughter" will reportedly be on
the record. [Examiner]Singer Neil Diamond says he feels sorry for the "American Idol" contestants. "These youngsters have a chance to express their talent to millions of people and it's very scary," he says. "I would not want do it myself -- certainly not in the beginning of my career." He did have some advice for the "Idol" hopefuls. "Love what you're doing, love your work and be ready to work, work and work." [FOX News]
Nigel Lythgoe spilled details on what we can expect from each judge this upcoming season. "Randy [Jackson] has become very, very positive. Jennifer [Lopez] actually critiques what's in front of her. She doesn't just throw out glib remarks. She listens, she weighs it up and then she says how she feels," he says. "Then I think with Steven [Tyler], who doesn't have a bad bone in his body, finds it very difficult to say 'you suck' to anybody." Who else is excited to see J.Lo as the "tough" judge? Carrie Underwood has been named the new face of Oil of Olay ."The partnership with Carrie Underwood is all about reaching women like her, ages 25 to 35, who are not currently using Olay now, or really any other skin care brand, because they think the products are very focused on anti-aging," says Procter & Gamble VP Joe Arcuri. Underwood is signed on to be the Olay spokesperson for two years. [WWD]

Sorry this cover looks very trailer park to me or is that what they are going for? Tim Urban, and Crystal appear to be getting more build up than the winner Lee Dewize. Saw only one ad for his debut album which is selling for $6.99 in my Sunday paper. First time I have seen any album priced so low. What's up?
