'Bones': Potential spin-off episode still not cast, delayed to 2011
Fans planning on a first look at the potential "Bones" spin-off will have to wait a bit longer.
Originally scheduled for December, Movieline reports the "planted spin-off" episode won't actually air until February or March.
This might have something to do with the fact that the character it focuses on has yet to be cast.
As we first reported in October, the proposed spin-off would follow reclusive savant Walter Sherman from Richard Greener's "The Locator" book series. The series will incorporate Sherman into the "Bones" storyline as a wartime nemesis of Agent Booth (David Boreanaz).
Zap2it readers didn't agree with our suggestion of "Lone Star" refugee James Wolk, but they did throw out some interesting choices for the role like Lee Pace ("Pushing Daisies", James Marsters ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") and, more laughably, "3rd Rock From the Sun" star French Stewart.
Maybe it's good that FOX is taking its time on this one.

You know, it would be interesting to have a spin-off with Zach. Kind of a 'being john malkovich' but inside Zach's head. It would be cool and they could recap episodes with his own perspective. Wow. Why am I not a studio exec? Oh, that's right. People with solid ideas weren't allowed back after the strike.
Here it is people. Free for the taking.
Some of your readers who selected Lee Pace for this roll need to be punched in the face for such a stupid suggestion.
