CBS kept its spot at the top of the ratings heap Wednesday, winning all three hours of primetime in total viewers. ABC's "Modern Family" continued its solid run this fall, and "Cougar Town" was up a little bit too in its first episode following the news that star Courteney Cox and her husband, David Arquette, are separated.

CBS led the way Wednesday with just under 12 million viewers and a 7.2 rating/12 share in households. The rest of the big four networks finished within a million viewers of one another, with ABC (7.6 million, 4.7/8) beating out NBC (7.1 million, 4.8/8) and FOX (6.8 million, 3.8/6). The CW (2.5 million, 1.6/3) was well off the pace but even with its performance last week.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS' 3.2 rating narrowly beat FOX's 3.1 for the top spot. ABC took third with a 2.7. Neither NBC (1.9) nor The CW (1.2) could get over the 2.0 mark.

If zap2it is always making mistakes, why be on here-get your ratings from a different source you bonehead!

I see Undercovers is at the bottom of the ratings (aside from the CW) this week, how many more weeks will it last?

I guess Preta thinks 3.2 is higher than 3.2... LOL

CBS with 3.2 is #1. ABC with 3.2 is #3. Zap2it is constantly making mistakes.

ABC should say 2.7

Anutter day, anutter ABC win, anutter error-filled poste by dat divet miss thang preta the divet. Haha lol porr thin. And there goes dat sad kitty Sylvester again, even more nasty than preta. Noww off to frodo.

Right on, Britney and Donna! (Since Sylvester tinks we';re all the same person.) So sad.

The only way that I watch most shows today is time delayed by DVR. Even when you fast forward through the programs, you still see some of the commercials. How can you watch 3 programs that are on at the same time, by the Magic of DVRs!!!!

My bad. Fixing now.
