'The Vampire Diaries' gets hot-blooded: Check it and see

When I was down on "The Vampire Diaries" set in Atlanta this July, temperatures slid into the triple digits. Little did I know, things were about to get much, much hotter... thanks to one Mason Lockwood (Taylor Kinney) and his secret affair with Katherine Pierce.

Nina Dobrev warned me over the weekend that things were only going to get steamier between Mystic Falls' prodigal villains, and judging from all that between-the-sheets action in the promo trailer from Comic-Con, I'm expecting... well, a lot.

When she's not hooking up with my favorite new addition to the cast, Katherine sets her sights on a new victim... and all signs point to it being the as of yet blissfully ignorant Aunt Jenna. Meanwhile, Jeremy mans up and demands that Damon let him into his and Alaric's secret He-Man Bad Guy Haters Club, while Caroline bonds with her mother for possibly the first time ever.

Can't wait until 8 p.m. rolls around? I feel your pain. Here, have a peek at the new just-released poster to ease your woes.
