Nina Dobrev on 'The Vampire Diaries' trip to Bulgaria and more hot scenes to come

You all know how much I adore Nina Dobrev, but with her characters making out with every hot guy on "The Vampire Diaries," our friendship may become a little bit strained. What can I say? I'm a jealous person."You just wait!" she tells me at the 2010 Scream Awards. "You haven't even seen. I don't want to give anything away, but if you thought the makeout scene with Mason in the car was something worthy of not talking to me anymore, you just wait."
At New York Comic-Con, "The Vampire Diaries" executive producer Kevin Williamson told Zap2it that the show would be taking its biggest flashback ever, to 1492 Bulgaria. When I chatted with Bulgarian-born Dobrev, I asked her if she'd had any pull as to just where Katherine originated.
"I didn't have anything to do with it," she says. "I didn't choose it or tell them to do that, but I think they were inspired by the fact that I'm Bulgarian. So, we're going to play a little bit. It's going to be really fun. You guys are in for a treat, I'm excited."
Dobrev has been working double duty this season as both Elena and Katherine. She was in nearly every scene of "Memory Lane," but she's not complaining about the long hours. Does she even need sleep? "I'm a vampire, no," she laughs. "It's a lot of hard work. It's really awesome, and I'm one of the luckiest people I know. It's a lot of hard work, long hours... we shoot a lot of nights, and dual characters are pulling double duty."

She's so gracious and lovely. Great actress too, love how she portrays Katherine and Elena. Sometimes I forget they are played by two different actresses.
I am really looking forward to the 1492 episode. I'm excited to see the costumes they come up with. Given how great the 1864 outfits look, this looks to not disappoint.

No, it's you who I think is an idiot. What Jones19 tryna say is that Nina plays two characters very well that we almost believe that there are two actors (two Ninas) playing. Get it now?
I gotta think it's awkward having made out with so many actors on set.

I'm so excited and proud that Nina's exposed viewers to Bulgaria. I know some people who have no idea it exists, where it is, etc. Bulgaria is one of the oldest countries!
