'Medium' cut to 13 episodes; 'Ride-Along' is now 'The Chicago Code'

Mmm, TV snacks. Just what you need to get through the afternoon."Medium" could perhaps be headed to the TV afterlife. CBS has cut the veteran show's order this season from 22 to 13 episodes, which will help make room for the network's midseason series and may signal an end for the drama, which has dropped in the ratings this season. The midseason FOX show formerly called "Ride-Along" has a new title: "The Chicago Code." Creator Shawn Ryan says he and FOX wanted the title to reflect that it takes place in Chicago -- and that talks about changing the name predated the confusion over the title of Ryan's FX show "Terriers." SOO Sad for Medium is a great SHOW!! i saw in a interview that the real Allison Doubois said a couple days after shooting the pilot the show was going to last at least 7 seasons i guest she was right...I will miss this GREAT show and i will miss Patricia Arquette too :(
We remember when Medium move from NBC to CBS, think the jury still out on the Patricia Arquette series to end because the Eye network still has huge ratings and marketing ads for its pilots like Hawaii Five - O. Guess the Criminal Minds spin off and Chaos with Freddy Rodriguez and Eric Close should make room for its respective schedule. What other CBS show be next? Perhaps Survivor.
They should have left the show at 8 PM CT and not moved it an hour earlier...that's what is hurting the show now...not enough eyeballs.

Medium is a good show that has had a decent run. I expected this would be it's last season. At least now they should be able to wrap it up with a proper finale.
The problem is though, Jay, that if the network isn't announcing this is indeed the end, the producers can't really put together a satisfying finale on the off-chance they could get picked up again for next season. Not to mention the fact that the first 13 episodes of this season may already be in the can. Sadly, after all these years, I have a feeling the show is going to disappear quietly, without a proper ending.
