Kardashians invade New York, Drea de Matteo is 'Wilde,' 'The Game' lives again at BET
Start your day with a helping of snack-sized TV news...The Kardashian TV empire is expanding to the Big Apple. E! has greenlit "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," which will follow the two sisters as they open a DASH store in the city, plus all kinds of Scott Disick-related drama. [Kim Kardashian]
Former "Sopranos" and "Desperate Housewives" star Drea de Matteo will guest on an episode of FOX's "Running Wilde" in November. She'll play Steve's (Will Arnett) wild-child stepmother. [EW]
BET announced plans to revive the former CW sitcom "The Game" earlier this year, and it's now a reality. Production on new episodes got underway this week; it's scheduled to premiere in January. [Variety]
Bravo will unspool a new season of its design competition "The Fashion Show" on Nov. 9. This time around, the 12 designers will be split into two teams who will have to design a collection and put on a fashion show each week. [Bravo]
Remember that 2005 Will Smith movie "Hitch"? It's on its way to becoming a TV series. FOX has picked up the rights to the adaptation and ordered a pilot script, which Pete Chiarelli ("The Proposal") will write. Smith's company is producing the project. [Deadline]
CBS has parted ways with "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior" showrunner Chris Mundy. "Minds" executive producer Ed Bernero will oversee both the original show and the spinoff, which is slated for midseason. [Variety]
Another thing that's funny on the Internet will attempt to be funny on television: ABC is developing a comedy series based on the blog-turned-book Awkward Family Photos with "Aliens in America" creators Moses Port and David Guarascio. [The Live Feed]
