'Glee's Young Kurt: Meet Adam Kolkin, Chris Colfer's mini-me

When we first watched "Glee's" religion-themed "Grilled Cheesus" episode, we couldn't help but do a double take during Kurt's (Chris Colfer) flashbacks. The 13-year-old is almost impossibly identical to Colfer.So was it a camera trick? CGI? Old Colfer family home-video footage? Colfer's secret little brother?
Nope. Little Kurt, who is just as fabulous as big Kurt, was played by Adam Kolkin, a high school student from Orange County with no relation to Colfer. Even the "Glee" casting directors were taken aback when they met the lookalike. "They all kept saying, 'Oh my God, oh my God," Kolkin tells the O.C. Register.
Though he didn't share any scenes with Colfer, Kolkin did get to meet him when Colfer stopped by the graveyard location just to say hello.
Kolkin doesn't have a singing part in tonight's episode, but he was asked to raise his voice for the casting directors. "I had prepared 'Walking on Sunshine,'" he says. "They were really surprised."
Just because he doesn't sing in "Grilled Cheesus" doesn't mean he won't sing later. We do expect to see Kolkin make a return to the show. A flashback episode is currently in the works according to EW, and while casting directors are seeking young versions of Lea Michele, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Amber Riley, and Mark Salling, we're not sure they'll be able to find anyone this good.
Kolkin certainly set the bar high.

I actually look alot like Lea...and ive got a voice...iwould totally do it.
My mouth fell to the floor when I first saw this boy! He's practically Colfer's twin. At first, I thought it was a camera trick. Then, I thought he was Colfer's younger brother. I even went to imdb.com to see if he had a brother. What a coup finding this mini-Chris Colfer!
Hry guys i actually know him, we are friends! He totaly looks lik kurt.
Not just that, his mannerisms were so Kurt-like, too, that I couldn't keep a gaping smile from my face; he was awesome!

I'd like to see young Quinn with young Gwen(her older sister). It'd be a nice touch-up on Quinn's childhood background.

I was just amazed to learn this kid is no relation to Chris Colfer! When I saw the show, I thought for sure he was either Chris's little brother or else it was some kind of CGI trick. wow.
