'Glee': Matthew Morrison getting help from Elton John on solo album
The Beatles-crushing musical behemoth that is "Glee" shows no signs of slowing in its second season. And the stars' solo albums will likely only fuel the show choir fire.
Matthew Morrison joins Mark Salling as the latest Gleek to tackle his own material, and he'll be getting some high profile collaborators. Elton John tells Entertainment Weekly that he'll be a part of Mr. Schue's upcoming album.
"I am supposed to be doing something with Matthew Morrison for his album," John tells the magazine. "We had a little meeting together, so hopefully that's going to happen when I get to L.A."
That's all the details he has now, but John did confess that he's a bit of "Glee" fan and is open to getting a similar treatment to Madonna or Britney Spears. "I love Glee, but no, no," says John. "Of course I'd be into that. It's always great when someone covers your songs no matter how good or bad the version is."

I like Matthew Morrison, but I don't actually think he has a voice that's good enough for a solo album.
Wow, really? Not good enough? With all the artists out there who can only sing thanks to the miracle of Auto-Tune, you think Matthew Morrison can't sing?
Matthew Morrison is one of the most talented singers out there right now. I suppose you've never heard him in SOUTH PACIFIC. A great singer, natural talent.
I will absolutely buy that album. Matt has a beautiful voice! I've been waiting for a long time for someone to bring up Glee doing Elton John..."Don't Go Breaking My Heart" next week doesn't even begin to tackle his repertoire.
Just comparing 2 shows, the Spars one and last week's religion one, Glee is better when the music does not drive the characters or plot, but the other way around. I won't buy Matt's album, though he can sing, but I hope he doesn't rap! Is Chris Colfer coming out with an album? I Don't know-- I hope Ryan Murphy isn't dumb enough to kill the show from over-exposure, though I can't blame the actors for wanting to capitalize on what's probably been a dream of their for forever. I suppose if Lynda Carter (of Wonder Woman) can release an album (saw it at Barnes and Noble) then anyone can.
