'Dancing With the Stars': Florence Henderson's 'Brady Bunch' tango not enough

Florence Henderson was the fifth celebrity sent home from "Dancing With the Stars." She was one of the oldest contestant to ever participate on the show and while her technical efforts were not as great as some of the others, we thought the nostalgic love of Mrs. Brady would've kept her around a long time.Perhaps it was the incest-y allusions to her hook up with "Brady" son Barry Williams. Ewww. Either way, Florence and partner Corky Ballas were not the lowest scored by the judges. That honor went to Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas for a jive that was at times Kate Gosselin-levels of uncomfortable.
The other couple in danger was Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke, though that doesn't necessarily mean they were the other lowest vote-getters. The results show was punctuated by performances by Jason Derulo and the Mwano Brothers.

Tom Bergeron usually warns us when an upset is going to occur. I was shocked to see America's mom sent home this week. She was so good. I thought she was safe. Also shocked to see Jennifer and Derek in the bottom three. America definitely did not vote the right way this week!
Allison, Jennifer and Derek were not ACTUALLY in the Bottom 3. That is a ploy by the producers each week to create DRAMA and therefore RATINGS (they think). Basically they want you to watch to the very end of the show, and not relax and change the channel because the judges favorites are let off the hook too early in the evening.
Bristol needs to go home. She was crap. Florence should not have been let go this week. Do people think they are voting for her mother keeping Bristol there. Yuck!
Remember this show is not so much about the score but about the fan votes. Apparently for now Bristol has a lot of fans, but not me. Go Jennifer.
Beyond absurd. Florence was a great dancer and very entertaining to watch. For someone who is 76 she was fantastic. And what are we left to endure for at least another week.....Bristol!....and worse her mother! What's next, their own family reality show on how an under age mother raises her child with the help and advice of the mother/grandmother.
I love Mrs Brady as much as the next Brady Bunch viewer but her tango last week was awkward and uncomfortable looking and this week she was not good.
As for Bristol, dont think i ever saw someone try harder - and there were problems on Mon night but i have to say it was the one performance that i actually thought was fun to watch. Some of them were just plain boring - and people dont vote for boring.
The "bottom three" are not the bottom three vote getters - its the one who is going and two others to add to the suspense.
Bristol is 20 - why is that an 'under-age mother'? Personally i think its great that she has a mother and grandparents in her sons life - all girls in her situation should be so lucky.

I think what happened was Kyle's 5 from Len. When you only get 8 votes and something as agregious as that happens, people tend to over vote to protect the person who was slighted. I know that is what happneed with my family. They wanted all the votes to goto Kyle, who was way, way underscored.
She should have stayed. America got it wrong this time.
I was pretty happy to see Florence go. She was a good dancer and I give her a lot of props for coming on the show, but Corky Ballas is like everything creepy and inappropriate in human form and she was not helping. They were almost -painful- to watch.
Sure, Bristol's monkey dance was not good. But I'm pretty sure that's Corky's ridiculousness passed on through his son. She's actually a good dancer, but not the best performer and it probably frayed the poor girl's nerves because she just has a hard time getting into that zone, but I would rather watch that snorefest another week than feel physically uncomfortable watching Florence and Corky's antics.
