'Chuck' vs. the Awesome statue
Behold, one of the single most awesome images ever to come from "Chuck."
Yes, that is indeed a 10-foot-tall statue of Capt. Awesome, with Awesome himself (Ryan McPartlin) and Costa Gravas leader Generalissimo Goya (Armand Assante) in front of it.
Monday's (Oct. 11) episode finds Awesome and Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) traveling to the fictional country of Costa Gravas at the invitation of Goya. The generalissimo wants to thank Awesome for saving his life last season, and the statue is part and parcel of that. Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) also tag along, hoping they might be able to work out the awkwardness that arose at the end of this week's episode.
So what's it like to have a larger-than-life statue of yourself made? "It was very surreal," McPartlin tells Zap2it. "... Zac looked at me and said, 'I am so jealous of your 10-foot statue.' I think that was my favorite part of it, because I'm jealous of Zac in a number of other ways."
You can witness the statue's unveiling at 8 p.m. ET Monday on NBC.

If anyone deserves a 10-foot statue, it's Awesome. Ryan McPartlin is underappreciated and I hope he has a long and successful career. I also hope NBC continues to be supportive of Chuck despite it being smashed by the Dancing with the Stars juggernaut, and gives it a full season this year and for more years to come.
That is simply AWESOME! Love Ryan McPartlin and wish they'd use him more in the show.

Chuck is my very favorite show...i wish more people would watch it so it isn't in danger so often.

Chuck is my favorite show too, and I really wish more people would watch it. However, I doubt there is a lot of audience overlap between Dancing with the Stars (a show my over 60 mom and her friends watch) and Chuck. How I met your mother is probably the bigger competition. My question is why aren't all the professed nerds that watch The Big Bang Theory, and which used to be on opposite Chuck (I am one of them---but watch Community too) now watching Chuck? That is a mystery to me.
