'American Idol': Kris Allen unplugs his single 'Alright with Me'
Kris Allen's latest single, "Alright with Me," is just starting to get some radio airplay. But honestly? We kind of prefer the acoustic version in the video below. The "American Idol" Season 8 winner performed an unplugged version of "Alright with Me" for EW.com earlier this week, and the song has now completely wormed its way into our brains here at Zap2it. The song is about a guy who's wrapped around a girl's finger and doesn't really care, and it's incredibly catchy.
Allen is currently on tour and will play shows in Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta, Dallas, his hometown of Conway, Ark., and a number of other cities through Nov. 24.
Take a listen and let us know what you think: Do you prefer this version or the one that's on Allen's album?

Haha, good question. I love Kris live (Cale and Kris sound so good together) but I enjoy the horns that are on the album version. I can't decide.
I really like BOTH. love that song.
Ilove your question but I think both versions are excellent in their own way. When a song is good and catchy, it just is! I love the song and hope to hear it on radio soon.
Great song. It should be a big hit for him.
LOVE THAT SONG!!! It's really fresh and fun!!
I love both the acoustic and album version
Rad tune, sounds like a hit.
I love both versions, but it is so much fun to see him sing it on the video.
Sorry not a big fan of this song. It sounds like country. Liked "Live Til You're Dying" though.
If I had to pick an ultimate version of Alright With Me, I'd pick from the times he's played it live in concert since it has audience participation. I went to a concert of his where the room felt like it was literally shaking from everyone singing the "yeah"s!
His acoustic performance is so good! I'm glad he's not one of those singers that can't sing live...quite a talented guy!
And I honestly can't decide which I prefer, both are great in their own special way! Hope it becomes a hit because it's been stuck in my head for like a year lol!
