ABC Family's newly green-lit pilot, "Switched At Birth," about two teen girls that were just that, switched at birth, may not have found the young stars to fill those roles, yet. But the network has found their mothers.

An ABC Family spokesperson confirms exclusively to Zap2it that Lea Thompson and Constance Marie have been cast in the pilot.

Our sources close to the the production tell us the actresses will play the young ladies' mothers in the one-hour scripted series.

Formerly Thompson played the title character in NBC's nineties comedy, "Caroline and the City," and she also rocked our world as Marty McFly's mother in the "Back to the Future" trilogy of films.

Marie is best known for playing George Lopez's wife on the sitcom "George Lopez," which aired from 2001-2007 on ABC.

"Switched at Birth," written and executive produced by Lizzy Weiss ("Blue Crush"), revolves around two girls and their families. One of the girls is poor and hearing disabled, while the other is rich and leads a very comfortable life. After the girls find out they were switched at birth, the families decide to move in together for the sake of the kids.
