ABC cancels 'The Whole Truth,' lets series complete 13-episode order
"The Whole Truth" will not be getting a whole season.
On the heels of ABC's announcement of several full-season pick-ups, the series' executive producer, KristieAnne Reed, tweeted the discouraging news on Oct. 25.
"ABC gave us the word," she writes. "We will only make 13 episodes of #thewholetruth."
Awe, still trying to get the series trending until the bitter end.
The network had been reportedly on the fence about the low-rated series since its debut, but when Zap2it caught up with star Rob Morrow, he said ABC seemed optimistic.
And they still are -- a little. ABC will continue to air "The Whole Truth" in its Wednesday time slot until it completes its 13-episode run. The network agreed to let the show continue production through to December to finish up the order.
If that's an exciting prospect for you, there's even a little bit of news. Mandy Patinkin will guest star on episode 10.

This is a great show! I don't understand why it isn't catching on with viewers.
This is a great show!! Maura is Amazing!!
Rob Morrow's character was unbearable. Reminded me of a cheap version of "Shark" played by James Woods, who was also unbearable.
People are just getting tired if legal and cop shows. They oversaturate the market to the fullest degree. It's ridiculous.
Watch the first episode, big fan of Maura, but wasn't sticking around for the second episode.
Hope to she her in something better next season.

I liked this show. I am tired of all the CSI and L&O shows - but this one was different. Wasn't the same old same old.
I'll watch what is left - except maybe that one with Mandy Patinkin. Not too fond of him - over acter like Shatner.
I am so upset that abc is canceling The Whole Truth. What a great show it is with a great cast of characters. Especially enjoyed watching Rhonda here and there. Come on abc, give it a chance. Rob and Maura work fabulous together.
Not a real fan of Rob Morrow but I did give the show a chance- it just didn't catch my interest enough to keep up with it. There are too many other returning shows that I prefer to watch with a handful of new shows (mainly "Raising Hope"), plus I DVR the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" (just to watch the sublime Crystal Chappelle) so if a new show doesn't grab me right away, I know I have plenty of other TV to watch.
