ABC cancels 'My Generation' after two episodes
People try to put us d-down...By not watching, apparently. ABC confirms to Zap2it that they've pulled millennial drama "My Generation" from the schedule after only two episodes. It joins "Lone Star" as the the second freshman series of the new season to be canceled.
First reported by The Live Feed, this news doesn't come as much of a surprise. After a modest opening of 5.2 million viewers, and a 1.6 in 18- to 49-year-olds, it fell to 3.9 million in its second outing, with a paltry 1.1 in demos. For some perspective, that's only slightly better than average viewers for the CW's simultaneous broadcast of "The Vampire Diaries" (3.2 million) and not even as good as its score in demos (1.5).

Well I am 59 and I liked My Generation. They didn't give it a fair chance.
Too bad. I actually enjoyed the first episode. Would have been interested to see where it was going.
They just aren't giving the good writing and good acting time to grow. Lone Star was good but opposite NCIS/NCIS LA!
They put the newer shows up against the seasoned vet shows & they just drown after one outing.
You need U-Verse by AT&T so you can record 4 shows at the same time. TV execs have become so cutthroat they know force the newer shows to drown on purpose.
SHAME! Lone Star & this one, My Generation had good scripts. I liked them. I just wish they'd been given a chance to grow.
I'm hoping one of CBS own shows could get the axed until May 2011. That's too much ratings for the Eye network for my taste and let's hope the next cycle of Survivor will be its last.
Sorry, but I feel this is a good decision.. I was really looking forward to this show but the first episode was so disappointing I didn't bother returning for the second. Maybe something a little better will replace it.
Please cancel Grey's Anatomy. Now, that's an extremely sh*tty show I can do without.

Very unhappy about this! The second episode opened some very interesting storyline possibilities, unfortunatly we'll never know about RJ's disappearance for instance..

Fox should put Lonestar on FX. It could be made for a more adult viewer.
