'Undercovers' preview: Hoyt gets his man

What did you think of the "Undercovers" premiere? We're dying to hear what you thought.
In case you missed it: Steven (Boris Kodjoe) and Samantha (Gugu Mbathe-Raw) are married former spies who go back into the field to save a spy friend of theirs who has gone missing, Leo (Carter MacIntyre).
In Wednesday's episode, the Blooms are charged with saving a scientist who gets kidnapped by her own security detail. It's the couple's first "official" job as partners and after much back and forth, Samantha gets Hoyt (Ben Schwartz) for back up on part of the mission.
Hoyt, who apparently has a man-crush on Steven, is an interesting character, right? He's goofy and kind of odd, which is what we love about him. In the next episode, he also proves that he's not too bad in the field either.
Watch as Hoyt gets his man:
"Undercovers" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

honestly....im happy to see an african american cast show on primetime. its been missing for a decade now. other than that, the witty humour is great but it takes away from the show's purpose at times. if i want funny haha spy stuff i would watch i-spy w/ owen wilson/eddie murphy.
I really like the show. Beautiful to look at for both male and female. The humor just sets it off.
Re:Monae. Why does every spy series have to be deadly serious? The best spy shows have loads of humor, including Alias, I Spy, Mission Impossible, UNCLE. I hated 24 in part because it was so serious. If you want deadly serious spy stuff, watch a Bourne movie or rent Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Me, I'm quite happy with the show having lots of humor, as long as it works.
