TV ratings: 'The Apprentice' opens weak, CBS leads Thursday

The return of the non-celebrity "Apprentice" got off to a pretty poor start Thursday, failing to draw even 5 million viewers against mostly rerun competition. The CW's lineup, meanwhile, dipped some from its premiere last week, and viewers followed "The Big Bang Theory" to its new home.

CBS ended the night on top, averaging 7.9 million viewers and a 5.1 rating/9 share among households. ABC (5.75 million, 3.7/6) came in second, followed by NBC (4.3 million, 2.8/5). The CW's 3.2 million viewers and 2.0/4 was good enough for fourth, topping FOX's 2.45 million and 1.7/3.

CBS was the only network to pass the 2.0 mark among adults 18-49, drawing a 2.2 rating for the evening. ABC finished second in the demo at 1.8. NBC, 1.4, took third, followed by The CW, 1.3, and FOX, 0.7.

Looks like The Apprentice is more of a summer show.

CW beat FOX in total viewers and the young adult demo. CW also beat ABC in the 18-49 demo yesterday. True CW is airing new episodes while the big networks are still mostly in reruns. I really want to know if this has happened before, if not CW is finally gaining some traction.

Good to see Nikita holding up well.

Just this past week I read here that CW should R.I.P. Look how things have changed.

Fox is in trouble if Idol doesn't return with strong numbers. House became a huge hit because of Idol. House is now fading. That leaves only Glee or whatever new show proves to be a winner.

Anutter butterfried leading tower de pizza nite on dominatrix pantyhose ABCDEFG. Was NBC even on last nite with her tired, stale Jeff Zucker realty bore? Haha lol porr sad thin. Nic to see dat divet miss thang preta the divet back from her spa vacay. Haha lol porr sad thin. Now off to Yogurt.

TVD was fantastic last night, as always. I'm loving vampire Caroline. She's already a bada$$. Threatening Damon and throwing him around. Epic. It was nice to see Michael Trevino without a shirt on too. I hope there's plenty more of that coming because DAAAAMN! That boy is foooin.

Nikita was really strong last night as well. A big improvement over last week for sure. I went from being unsure about the show to really starting to like it. I'm looking forward to future episodes.
