The 2010-11 season kicked into full gear Monday with decidedly mixed results for new shows. "Hawaii Five-0," "Mike & Molly" and "The Event" all performed pretty well, but FOX's "Lone Star" got hammered in a highly competitive 9 p.m. timeslot.

Thanks to a strong premiere from "Dancing With the Stars" -- the evening's most-watched show -- ABC won the first night of the season. It averaged 17.7 million viewers and an 11.3 rating/18 share among households in primetime. CBS (11.9 million, 7.4/11) was a healthy second. NBC took third with 8.4 million viewers and a 5.1/8, beating out FOX (7.3 million, 4.3/7). The CW (2 million, 1.3/2) trailed.

ABC also led among adults 18-49, though the race was closer. It scored a 4.2 rating in the demographic to beat out CBS' 3.8. NBC, 2.8, edged FOX, 2.7, for third, while The CW came in at 1.0.

I cannot believe people still watch that crappy DWTS (more like dancing with has beens!!) Get a life people!!! Stimulate your brain!!!!

I only hope that The Big Bang Theory can hold its own after losing (the terrible, but popular) Two and a Half Men as its lead-in. Obviously, Mike & Molly fared well because of it.
Also, I was very excited for "The Event" until the "disappearing plane" part at the end ruined it for me. I just don't have the capability to get on board with shows that cannot be believable. I was a HUGE Lost fan until they went the way of super-sci-fi.
Mike & Molly has SOME potential, but they need to A) get rid of that stupid waiter (what a TERRIBLE character). and B) give some zinger-lines to Molly (she is comic-gold).

Viva La Diva, DWTS, TV #1 show, did not disappoint, it was exciting and fun.

NBC's Flashforward ripoff started just ok, will fad fast.

And the Mariage show of Mall Cop and Samantha Who was a disaster, what a bd show. Seriously after ABC great comedies on Weds, CBS just needs to give it up.

House, the Grey Anatomy ripoff, was stale and boring, too bad that show faded fast after a few seasons.

Viva LA DIVA, DWTS , TV #1 show is back!

I think that rumors of the death of network TV have been greatly exaggerated.

Ouch for LONE STAR. Do you think it's a heavily DVRed show? I suppose that's the one that folks might think, "I'll watch that later."

That Mall Cop mix with Samantha Wo sitcome on CBS was really bad, no orginality like Modern Family.

Lonestar is worth saving. Hopefully it will be moved to another night

Watched Hawaii Five 0 and it was just ok in my opinion, nothing special like the critics were raving about, maybe next week will be better. The Event has some promise, House was just boring.

****, FOR THE LAST TIME GET BACK IN THE KITCHEN AND COOK ME MY SUPPER! STOP BOTHERING THE PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD WITH THE DISNEY NETWORK HOMERISM AND DO SOME HOUSEWORK!
