TV ratings: CBS coasts to Labor Day win

The first new shows of the 2010-11 season roll out this week, but the broadcast networks pretty much took Labor Day off (only ABC had more than an hour of original programming). CBS' reruns got more eyeballs than anyone else's.

CBS drew 6.1 million viewers and a 3.8 rating/6 share in households Monday night. NBC (5 million, 3.2/5) narrowly beat ABC (4.8 million, 3.1/5) for second place. FOX came in fourth with 3.3 million viewers and a 2.1/3. The CW (709,000, 0.5/1) was a non-factor.

ABC and CBS tied for the lead among adults 18-49 with 1.7 ratings. NBC scored a 1.3 in the demographic, followed by FOX, 1.0, and The CW, 0.3.

Monday's hourly results:

8 p.m.

ABC: "Bachelor Pad" (5.8 million viewers, 3.7/6 households)
CBS: "How I Met Your Mother" rerun (4.5 million, 2.8/5)/Special - "CBS Fall Preview" (5 million, 3.1/5)
NBC: "America's Got Talent" rerun (4.7 million, 2.9/5)
FOX: "House" rerun (3.2 million, 2.1/3)
The CW: "90210" rerun (794,000, 0.5/1)

18-49 leader: "Bachelor Pad" (2.0)

9 p.m.

CBS: "Two and a Half Men" rerun (7.85 million, 4.8/8)/"The Big Bang Theory" rerun (7.55 million, 4.6/7)
ABC: "Bachelor Pad" (5.45 million, 3.5/5)
NBC: "America's Got Talent" rerun (4.8 million, 3.0/5)
FOX: "Lie to Me" rerun (3.4 million, 2.2/3)
The CW: "Gossip Girl" rerun (623,000, 0.4/1)

18-49 leader: "The Big Bang Theory" (2.2)

10 p.m.

CBS: "CSI: Miami" rerun (5.9 million, 3.8/6)
NBC: "Dateline" (5.5 million, 3.5/6)
ABC: "Dating in the Dark" (3.1 million, 2.1/4)

18-49 leader: "CSI: Miami" and "Dateline" tied at 1.5
