'The Vampire Diaries' premiere: Join Zap2it's live chat
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 2 premiere, "The Return," is so packed with drama that Zap2it just has to discuss it with you. Katherine (Nina Dobrev) is back in Mystic Falls, and she won't leave without changing everyone's lives -- including Damon's (Ian Somerhalder). Meanwhile, Stefan (Nina Dobrev) struggles with the fact that his brother is making moves on his girlfriend. Again. As if that wasn't enough, the always volatile Tyler (Michael Trevino) struggles to handle his father's death. Luckily, his uncle Mason (Taylor Kinney) is around to help keep him under control... sort of.
I can't wait for you all to see it so that we can chat. Bookmark this page, and after you've picked your jaws up off the floor, come on back here to discuss everything you've seen. We'll be chatting at 9:00 p.m. EST and PST, because we're just that obsessed.
In the meantime, don't miss my preview of the episode for some juicy teasers, plus my most recent video with Ian Somerhalder and an in-depth interview with Taylor Kinney himself.

Neat. Try to make for the one for the Pacific Time Zone and since every Founding Family has a 20-something handsome brother, curious to gets cast as Caroline's estranged uncle.
The ending was just so WOW!!! Poor Caroline. Also, can't believe how Katherine told Damon she never loved him!!!
Wow! What a way to kick off season two!!!! That was an absolutely astounding episode. There were so many "Oh $hit!" moments I lost count. Now that Caroline is almost certainly going to be a vampire since Katherine smothered her with Damon's blood still in her system, I hope they don't kill her off. Sad for Matt, but maybe she and Damon could get together now? I was VERY impressed with Nina Dobrev's dual portrayal of Elena/Katherine. The differences are subtle, but clearly different. Nina is truly a gifted actress. Can't wait for next Thursday and to see how this season unfolds. Keep 'em comin'!
Ian Somerhalder took it to the next level. His potrayal of Damon in the premiere had me feeling the pain, anger and hurt that Damon was going through. The scenes between him and Nina (as Katherine & Elena) were beyond fantastic. The premier definitely delivered the shock value that is for sure. Loved it! Looking forward to next week.
Ahh, I love the vampire diaries! ( Forever & Always)
