'The Real Housewives of NJ' reunion: You sentimental fail
We're a bit shell-shocked after watching "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" reunion. It started out with all the things we would expect from a reunion.
Issues were rehashed, there were a few flare-ups and Teresa Giudice, without a table nearby, flipped Andy Cohen instead. Now, that felt like we were on course for a trashtastic Part 2.
Part 2 started normally with some talk about Danielle Staub's run-in and subsequent charges she filed against Jacqueline Laurita's daughter, Ashley. They talked about The Brownstone charity event and the related use of the derogatory gay term, F*g. Even Kim G. came by to ruffle some feathers. Then, things got very strange.
Danielle pulled out a mannequin head with dark hair and blonde extensions. Never mind the sight of someone with her violent background pulling a head out of a bag. We're giving her a pass for this strange reunion special.
She wanted to prove that when Ashley pulled her hair, or, um, her extensions, that it hurt. Andy tugged until he almost believed that it couldn't be done. What are you doing all those days at the gym, Andy? Forget it. We don't want to know. After a much harder tug, Andy finally pried one of those babies loose. OK, Danielle, we get it - it hurt. We don't think your demonstration made it any less funny, though.
Things got even stranger when Jacqueline proclaimed she had an epiphany during a break. She then apologized to Danielle for all the drama she had caused and for all the things she had said. Danielle then did the same and before we knew it, Teresa Giudice was apologizing, too. Was that mannequin head some kind of voodoo doll?
Thankfully, Caroline Manzo resisted Danielle's voodoo and rolled her eyes with disgust. She was watching along with us and tweeted, "Couldn't sit there and listen to the nonsense.... guess what.... I was right!!!! She hasn't changed at all....."
Yes, Caroline, we guessed...
By the way, how about all the promos that ran last week and this one saying we'd find out one housewife wouldn't be returning? The announcement that never came? Oops. Oh, wait. Bravo just remembered their guffaw and pulled together a last-minute post saying (surprise!) Danielle is off the show. Really professional (and old news), Bravo.
We loved this season and the reunion is supposed to supplement our need for more. Anyone else wish they stopped while they were ahead? Sound off below!

The whole show needs to be cancelled why do people like watching a group of "grown" women act like school kids. If you can't get along with someone you stay away and ignore them, that is the classy thing to do not cuss and assault someone. But then again when you are not a person of color you can get away with anything!
it's dumb. Bravo is weird and hasn't got it together. The Manzos are mafia people and just gross. They need to cancel the show, it reeks. Grifters living on blood money. Danielle was an actual person with a past. They axed her instead of the thugs and thug-wives. Ick. Fuggedaboutit, literally. I don't have any interest in watching anyone named Manzo or associated with them because it's all tainted with blood money. The Giudice's are most likely going to jail for fraud and perjury. The only thing worse than watching another season of psycho Teresa is having to endure a relative of hers as well. No thanks.
After watching last night's show it's obvious how crazy they ALL are. I thought it was just Danielle, but, no, Theresa and Jacqueline had me rolling my eyes right along with Carolyn. Carolyn, stop trying to save everyone! I'm done watching.
I agree with Caroline. It was all fake on Danielles part and I am surprised they got so huggy kissy at the end with Theresa and Jacqueline. It was a big surprise. Why does everyone think if your Italian and successful in business you belong to the Mafia? Puzzles me.
Helloooo...did anyone else determine that there clearly has been or had been a "relationship" between Danielle and Jacqueline? I think they swam in the lady pond together...

It turns out Teresa is the craziest of them all...she of the horrid language skills, flamboyant taste in clothes and house, weird mean husband, and delusional concept of herself.
I don't think Danielle & Jacqueline swam in the lady pond together, but I DO think Danielle was hot for her.
I agree that that Danielle seems to like Jacqueline a little too much. So now that Jacqueline extended an apology, her phone will start ringing again as Danielle will want more, and the whole thing would've just errupted all over again for more viewing dis-pleasure (had she not been kicked off the show). Danielle really can bring out many different reactions and emotions: On the one hand anger and disgust as she clearly lies or conveniently forgets things that she's busted out for saying (and for what her daughters must endure), yet on the other hand, pity, as it's so clear how hurt and damaged she is. It remains quite amazing to me that Bravo TV is single-handedly responsible for bringing a plethora of crazy, corrupt, attention starved people to the public stage. What about those Salahis?!
