'The Good Wife' preview: 5 things to expect from Season 2

julianna-margulies-christine-baranski-good-wife.jpgWhen "The Good Wife" returns to CBS, it picks up exactly where we left off last May -- with Alicia (Julianna Margulies) standing in the wings of her husband Peter's (Chris Noth) press conference while receiving calls from Will (Josh Charles). What will she do?! Zap2it has a few teasers for you.

Spoiler alert: We won't ruin any major plot points, but if you want the full, unsullied experience, do not keep reading.

What you'll see:

  • Right off the bat, Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) does something we are not happy about. We shall dub it the voice mail heard 'round the world and that's all we'll say.
  • Chris "Prince Humperdinck" Sarandon guest-stars as a cantankerous judge who thrusts Alicia into a case she's not happy about working on.
  • The Florrick children continue to play a big part in Peter's on-going saga, including the return of bitchy Becca (Dreama Walker). That girl is a too much.
  • There's a new partner in town at Lockhard & Gardner -- Derrick Bond (Michael Ealy) and let's just say his ties to Diane and Will are not what they seem upon first glance.
  • And finally, while the premiere episode "Taking Control" is good (as always), the second episode of the season "Double Jeopardy" is outstanding, so get excited for next week too.
Watch the preview below for more sneak peeks at Season 2. "The Good Wife" airs Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

Please get rid of the Becca character once and for all. I just pray that she isn't coming back to announce she is pregnant from that unprotected sex scene with the son last year. This is our favorite show, but the remote gets used whenever she makes an appearance.

Can not wait, next to HOUSE the Good Wife is my next pleasure

ive nvr wtchd but i heard that its a great show....thinking bout tuning in?

@ monae

Instead of posting about a show that you do not watch....may I suggest finishing your education and not speaking in shorthand.

Am so glad that Andrea -the reviewer - appraised THIS episode as SUPERB - which it was. Hope it gets better still, rather than roll downhill like some shows - regrettably - do. Looking forward to next week. Hope Peter - as repulsive as he is to me - kicks Child's *** but good. Can't stand that creep even worse than Peter, and that says something. He's a real weasel, who doesn't play fair and makes me puke. So far the Alicia character gets better and better. IMO SHE makes the show. Runner up is the Kalinda person. Love how she throws that new investigator the "you're dead, man" look when he winks at her. She's VERY Good with the different looks - great expressions, poignant to the hilt. The actress really deserves her Emmy.
