The CW orders more scripts from 'One Tree Hill,' 'Hellcats'
Everyone over at "One Tree Hill" sure must live on edge. The series, which was previously thought to have been granted a full order for Season 8 while only getting 13 episodes, still has to wait to hear about a back 9 -- but at least the CW is interested in how additional episodes might play out.
Sources confirm to Zap2it that the network has put in requests for additional scrips from "One Tree Hill" writers, and though the exact count is unknown, this is an undoubtedly good sign.
Another series getting the tentative green light from the network is "Hellcats." The freshman cheerleader dramedy also received an order for more scripts.
There's no word yet on the other CW bubble series, "Life Unexpected." The low-rated charmer's second season still stands at 13 episodes and just 13 scripts.

one tree hill is amazing, i can see this going on for a whole season PLUS. esp after these last two episodes!! so come on MARK lets get some good writinggg !!
I have to wonder why OTH has to continually prove themselves while shows like Gossip Girl and 90210 get full season pickups...you would think after so many years they would treat OTH the same way.
its frustrating because one tree hill is amazing and i reallly would love a full season atleast!!
its funny because OTH has been on for 7 years and its still as amazing! so come on CW gve us more OTH
me and my sister watch this every week and it gets better each season and season 8 has really been GR8 now keep the episodes coming please!
I have followed OTH since season 1 back in 2003-2004! The CW needs to announce a full season pick up and if need be just make this its final season!!! I hope the ratings improve a little atleast start bringing in a solid 2-2.3 million viewers.. Last year the show pulled in over 2 mil viewers a week only dipping slightly below the 2 mark for 2 episodes! All of the contracts are up for the main actors so who knows if this will be the final season or not? I would love nothing more than a season 9 of one tree hill but if this isn't going to happen then the CW SHOULD LET US KNOW IT'S THE FINAL SEASON AND GIVE THE SHOW 22 EPISODES!!!! Although I'm grateful to the CW for renewing OTH they should give oth a little more respect it pulls in more viewers than both 90210 and GG and those shows are never teased around!! they should let us know now if this is the final season of oth so viewers current and old can tune in to make this an unforgettable season!! Now that I have typed enough for a book I feel much better!!
