'Supernatural' preview: Sam and Dean reunite... with bonus shirtless working out

We totally watch "Supernatural" for the plot, not the eye-candy, but you'll hear no complaints from our end about this new Season 6 trailer in which Sam (Jared Padalecki) does a couple of half-naked chin-ups.

We had conflicting reports -- Sera Gamble said that Sam and Dean (Jensen Ackles) would be keeping their clothes on, while Padalecki joked that with Gamble as boss, he'd be "naked a lot more." We're so glad this preview promo finally put that burning question to rest so we can stop all that hard-hitting investigative journalism on the matter.

Okay, okay, in all seriousness, this trailer gets us even more excited for Season 6 -- and not just because of all the muscles rippling all over the place. We're happy to see Sam and Dean hug it out when they're reunited, since we were worried that it'd go more along the lines of Dean knocking Sam out for hiding from him all year.

Of course, it wouldn't be "Supernatural" if everything was as it seems. Dean is, once again, worried that Sam isn't Sam after his brief death -- just like he was after Sam died in the Season 2 finale. Of course, this time, Sam spent time in hell with Lucifer wearing his body, so we can't be sure what he's seen or been through. We also don't know how long he was down there.

He certainly looks significantly more menacing than he did back then. His year without Dean has taken its toll on him -- for one thing, it looks like Dean was always the one who suggested haircuts, because Sam needs one. Badly.

This isn't a new question for die-hard "Supernatural" fans, but it's always a fun one. How do you like your Sam Winchester?

Blah blah blah, Sam is "different" because he had a really hard time in hell and he remembers it all and there was torture and he doesn't want to talk about it because he's a big strong man.

Haven't we already had this story 2 years ago with Dean? Sam is now not only STILL the focus of the show, but he's stealing storylines Dean already had. Let me guess it was worse for Sam because he was with Lucifer and Dean was with Alistair. Boring, boring, boring.

I have better things to do with my Friday nights than watch Jared Padalecki's awful acting as he tries to look evil and devil-may-care. Sorry CW, you lost me with this promo.

I'm also sick of him showing off his body at every opportunity. We get it you have exercise bulimia. No need to shove it in our faces. I'd rather have a man with a little meat like Jensen any day.

Amazing the best part of this promo was Sam and the pull up bar, it will be the new seasons OTP.

I enjoy all sides of Sam but i love his heart the most his heart and his abs. I love that they're making it all a little morally ambiguous because without an overarching mytharc at first i want to see big character development for Sam and Dean.

So excited to see what they do with Sam this season. Excellent promo, they couldn't have done better.

That was the worst "preview" ever! 45 seconds of it was clips from the last five seasons tangled together with 15 seconds of clips from the season premiere. If you are going to call it a preview CW, don't give us a bunch of scenes we have scene already. The only new stuff was the clippage with words. I highly doubt that Dean is going to be beating up Sammy again. That has been run into the ground. Plus, why would he punch him after he broke out of the box?

I watch the show for the family interaction between the brothers. As long as they end up ok, with each other and not dead, and they don't drastically change everything I'm good with whatever they do with this show. I came in to the fandom late and I'd like to enjoy as much as the show can deliver.

I cannot wait until the 24th. Bring on dark Sam!! Jared was at his absolute best in season 4 and I am hoping for more of that. Also, I don't think Sam ever needs to wear a shirt again.

I like my Sam Winchester in my bedroom, actually. Evil, Puppy, Lucifer, whatever. As long as he's in there. Nekkid.

Okay, yeah, seriously, I think I prefer Sammy Sam the best, simply because he's pretty much my soulmate. But I quite enjoy seeing Lucifer!Sam, too. What I wouldn't give to see Jared play a villain in a movie... MMM.

This next season is going to be awesome. This trailer was just perfect! THEY HUG! And the storyline itself seems pretty fascinating - old and new creatures, acting all weird? I'm really looking forward to it!

I'm gonna go watch the trailer for the 4594389th time.

I'm tired of: is Sam realy Sam? I've seen that story before, I'm also tired of giving Dean's storylines to Sam and Sam been the big mystery again after 5 fricking years, not to mention his evilness snear.

Dean/Lisa/Ben looks interesting and Dean investigating and with a gun - yummy.

I hope Dean is this time relevant to the plot and has more to do than to support Sam (SS) and worry about him again like in S1-S5.
