'Saturday Night Live' with Amy Poehler, party time, excellent

amy-poehler-snl-320.jpgFormer "Saturday Night Live" cast member Amy Poehler is returning to the as host this weekend, but she seems to have her "SNL" eras confused a little bit.

Poehler joined the show in the early 2000s, not the early 1990s, as the two "Wayne's World"-influenced promos in the video below suggest. Still, we like a good "Schwing!" reference as much as the next person, so thanks, Andy Samberg.

The season premiere of "SNL" is Saturday, Sept. 25, and Katy Perry will be the musical guest. We'll have to wait a little longer to see Poehler in her NBC day job; "Parks and Recreation" is scheduled for a midseason premiere.

Take a look at the promo spots:

Sounds like it'll suck, I'm going to drink heavy and turn in around 10 p.m. EST.

I still don't understand how she is so popular. Don't get me wrong, she's somewhat funny, but her ex-cast members from the Upright Citizen Brigade are some of the funniest comedic actors in the business.

To finish my thought, those guys from the UCB are way funnier than Amy Poehler
