'Saturday Night Live': Justin Timberlake cameos in Amy Poehler's return

Amy Poehler made her triumphant return to "Saturday Night Live" and we found most of the Poehler-focused bits to be hilarious. We also enjoyed Justin Timberlake's cameos.Christine O'Donnell's Checkered Past
The opening skit lambasted the new Delaware Republican Senatorial candidate Christine O'Donnell, playing off of her dabbling-in-witchcraft confession by portraying her as a masturbating, dog-fight staging arsonist. Hee. Kristen Wiig can be so good sometimes.
Amy Poehler's affairsA nice joke in Amy's opening monologue is that she's had "two beautiful boys" since being on "SNL." The two beautiful boys in question are Nick Jonas and Taylor Lautner and to them she says, "You're welcome." Poehler then went on a "nightmare" scenario of "SNL" where Justin Timberlake, Rachel Dratch, Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon all made cameo appearances. It was delightful.
Bronx BeatMaya Rudolph also returned to the show for the "Coffee Talk"-esque "Bronx Beat" sketch with Poehler. It wasn't that great -- until Katy Perry was brought on as the neighborhood "babysitter," but she was rocking the boobs in an Elmo shirt as a response to "Sesame Street" canceling her appearance. That part of the skit was actually very funny and good on Katy Perry for her accent.
Weekend UpdateAmy Poehler (of course) made an appearance on Weekend Update and it was predictably awesome, even if the appearance by real New York Governor David Patterson fell a little flat. It was nice to see "Really with Seth and Amy" again.
After Weekend Update, as is what typically happens on "SNL," the show went a little downhill. The uptight-fashion-lady Kristen Wiig sketch was not that funny. In fact, the only big laugh after Update came from seeing Andy Samberg in a mock trailer for "The Expendables" as Brigitte Nielsen, though the "Actor II Actor" sketch with more Timberlake was funny. We wouldn't mind seeing JT cameo every week.
What did you think of Amy Poehler's return to "SNL"? We don't think it was quite on par with Tina Fey's hosting job last spring, but we still think she gets a thumbs up.UPDATE: We've added videos of some of the highlights below.

I thought that tonight's episode was of the funniest episodes, since the Betty White episode. Amy Poehler is very talented and thought she had done a great job.
LOL, so you think it was better than the Alec Baldwin season finale. (Because this is only the second episode since Betty.) :)
My favorites were the JT cameos.
Andy asking Justin "when are you going to make more music?" "We just wanna dance!"
Best comedies are when the topic hits hime.

I'm with Liza. It's been 4 years since Futuresex/Lovesounds was released. That's far too long between albums. Make some damn music, Justin!!! Rock our world.

It was great--love Amy Pohler and all the cameos. Justin really should become a regular since he's on so much and he's so good. I love that he doesn't take himself too seriously. And, yes, he needs to make more music. I can't wait for Parks & Rec to return so we can see Amy on a regular basis.
Turned it off after 5 minutes. The opening skit was beyond horrible. totally unfunny. A Delaware Senate candidate? REALLY?

No kidding, John! Actually, Gov. Patterson had it just about right.
There were lots of characters, the first ten minutes were funny, and then you just wished it was over.
Except it wasn't even funny for the first ten minutes.
Even Perry's lip-synching performances were garbage.
Katy Perry has an awesome rack. In fact, she could play with dog crap, still look hot and I would watch.
every time i see Katy Perry perform, she just never lives up to the hype. not even close.
