'Real Housewives of Miami' wrapped: Cast includes basketballer Scottie Pippen's wife
Despite the dismal bore that is "The Real Housewives of D.C.," the franchise seems alive and well with the very strong Atlanta series returning Oct. 4 and the actually rich (and not just for cameras) Beverly Hills chicks arriving to Bravo just 10 days later.
Now, reports are coming through that a Miami version is wrapped and ready to roll. The Miami Herald's sources confirmed the series is still a go and that they've already shot a promo for the "Real Housewives" franchise.
Apparently, the series wasn't originally shot as a "Real Housewives" show. Instead, the footage was shot for "Miami Social Club," a new reality series Bravo announced in March (totally different from the almost unwatchable series, "Miami Social," which aired last year on the network).
E!Online's sources say the show will premiere in Late-2010 / Early-2011 and delivered some names for the Miami cast: Scottie Pippen's wife, Larsa (pictured), and Miami Heat player Glen Rice's ex-wife, Christy.
The lesser known cast members include art socialite Adriana Sidi, Venue Magazine editor Alexia Echeverria, PR gal Marysol Patton, charity planner Lea Black who's married to DA, Roy Black, and here's a twist -- South Beach drag queen Elaine Lancaster.

This is Miami are you serious.....When was the casting for this show. There is not one African American woman in this cast. C'mon Bravo we (black women)are big supporters of this housewives business you all have created. Could you show us more of what we want to see. How many more shows will have only size 2, blonde hair, flat ***** to display across our flat screens. Oh yes we have flat screens. Bravo I don't know how successful this show will be. Very disappointed in the network for excluding the black women in the cast of Miami Housewives out of all places. We are very culturely diversed in Miami from Jamaica, Haiti, Virgin Islands, Bahamas, Trinidad, all places that display women of color. Not just Cuba or White Americans.
Are you serious?? THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA featured all black. This is the first housewives show to feature a latina girl. Stop pulling the race card..
