'No Ordinary Family' premiere: Did you like the newest TV superheroes?

"No Ordinary Family" premiered on ABC Tuesday (Sept.) as the lead-in to "Dancing With the Stars" results show. What did you think of the superhero family show?The cheesy family-can't-connect storyline feels a little forced and contrived, but perhaps the family dynamic will become more nuanced as the series goes on. It wasn't terrible, it just wasn't the strongest part of the premiere.
However, Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz as Jim and Stephanie Powell discovering their new super powers was delightful to watch. They have very entertaining relationships with their respective best friends George (Romany Malco) and Katie (Autumn Reeser), who are helping them figure out what they can now do.
We also liked the cliffhanger -- there are evil people with super powers too and apparently Stephanie's boss Dr. Dayton King (Stephen Collins) knows all about it. We're intrigued to see where that goes.

I really liked the show. I wondered when they were going to get to J.J.'s powers, as his were in the previews. I think the show has a lot of potential. For those who didn't see it--think HEROES meets KYLE XY. And yes, I do plan on watching again.

A nice, lighter (and enjoyable) change of pace from everything else on right now. I'll keep tuning in to this real life version of The Incredibles.

Hey, I really did like it, and yes it was entertaining!
Hot mess.
I thought it was so so. The beginning story line about the family dynamics was pretty lame. I thought my 10 year old could watch with me since it was on at 8:00, but there was just enough to make it cringe worthy. I think I'll watch alone next time.
