'My Generation': Did ABC's docu-style drama get you hooked?

"My Generation" is the documentary-style dramedy on ABC that chronicles the lives of nine Austin, TX high school students in the year 2000 and then checks back in with them 10 years later. Old couples are no more, new couples have emerged, but old flames are still burning bright and now there are children and wedding vows involved. So what did you think of the premiere?
We think the show needs to mature a little bit. The first episode has to work so hard on establishing all the characters and the backstories that there is nary time for a breath, so we're hoping that the show can really dig into the present-day stories more in subsequent episodes. Star Jaime King assures us that the show continues to get better and better, giving viewers "everything you want but nothing that you expect."

I was looking forward to this show but after watching it I was very disappointed. It was so slow and the "documentary" format of the show grew old super fast. I found myself totally not caring about the characters and flipping channels during the commercials and not really caring if I made it back before the show returned. It really needs to improve next week if it's going to make it.
It COULD be a good show if it would move a bit faster and not be so predictable. And the documentary format needs to go away. The pilot was slooow, so mid way through it got a bit boring. I think the actors and the storyline are good - just show it like a regular show and get rid of the documentary style and it'll be fine.
I think the show needs to be more fast paced its a good idea for a show its a rip off of a Fox show a little bit... but I have hight hopes for my generation
I really liked it! Has a lot of potential, and they really set up a great deal of plot lines in this first hour!
Looking forward to where the stories/characters will go (& especially felt for the Kenneth "nerd" character -- poor guy).
I didn't think it was too slow at all - maybe others felt that because of the interviews, but I thought they helped us get into the characters better).
The previews for the birthing look great. Can't wait!

NOT HOOKED. scenarios seemed so fake, contrived.
That was the worst piece of drivel I have seen in a long time! Decent idea, terrible acting, terrible script, terrible execution. I lasted 15 minutes and quit. I won't be looking back.
