'MasterChef' finale: Vote for your favorite

masterchef-s1-final-320.jpgAmerica's first "MasterChef" will be crowned Wednesday (Sept. 15), and as we've seen by the past few episodes, there could be major upsets.

We're talking about Sharone, who has incredible skills and instincts, but occasionally lacks the basics (deboning fish). He fell to the mighty Whitney's baking prowess.

It's a two-hour finale, so get ready for the long haul. This journey has spotlighted home cooks, and it's as much about their skills as it is their story.

Let's see who's left:

David Miller - He's been pretty consistent, never really faltering except once when his team lost, and has two team wins and one individual win, the super-scary challenge when he had to impress three intimidating food critics. The software engineer from Massachusetts started out fairly arrogant and got a dressing down, but has turned out to be a fairly funny dude.

Whitney Miller (no relation) - Have you heard? She's only 22 years old! Much was made of her youth, even though eliminated contestant Slim Huynh was also only 22, but Whitney's lack of city slicker polish, cute accent and huge earrings have definitely made her a fan favorite. The girl knows her way around a protein and pastries, and has natural instincts when it comes to the food she recognizes. She's had two individual wins, but fell to the bottom twice.

Lee Knaz - He is Not-Sharone, but he did have some Sharone envy at times. The Venice, Calif., bartender has two individual wins and a team win. He's had to face the pressure test twice, and apparently passed. He also really, really likes fennel.

Sheetal Bhagat
- The Chicago teacher was flying under the radar for a while there, until The Crab Incident at least. She's not vegetarian at all, but killing animals herself is beyond her comfort zone (let's not forget the fish she caught!). After three team wins, she finally proves herself in the venison Mystery Box challenge. She's never had to face a pressure test.

Whitney deserves it based on how well she's done. But as long as it is anyone BUT David I'll be pleased. David is FAR to full of himself, has a major ego.

I thought for sure it would come down to Sharone and Lee but since Sharone was de-aproned last week, I had to vote for Lee.

sharone was probably the best 'cohef' of them all but he screwed himself by trying stuff he's never done before.

cohef = cook/chef

Whitney will win! She's a natural!

I think Whitney should win. There are many aspects to this -- one part of it is who would be able to produce the best, most pleasing cookbook. I think she could and would do so -- part of that requires charisma and charm. She reminds me of Rachel Ray but better.

I can not believe that anybody ate Whitney's food. All I could think about was how her hair was flying around the kitchen and I lost count how many times she ran her hands through it. She did not tie her hair back until she served the food. David should have won just for that. I am the owner of a small candy making business. I have long hair but you will never see any hair when I am creating food for other people nor will you see hair on anyone that works with me in my kitchen. I feel that Whitney was the judges favorite for all the wrong reasons. Lee should have won the first round and it would have been a real cook off between David and Lee. I would never eat where the hair is flying.

Show is rigged. No way Whitney should have won. They gave her to many breaks.

I agree that they gave Whitney too many breaks. Pressure test against Sharone they had to make them do a dessert challenge, so I knew Sharone was toast. Then they had to include a dessert in the cook off against Lee. No chance for Lee on that one. Lee should have been paired against Sheetal or David.
