Jimmy Kimmel spoofs Jeff Zucker's NBC firing

jeff-zucker-spoof.pngThere's no denying that former NBC CEO Jeff Zucker made an impact on the world of television... we just wouldn't exactly say it was a good impact.

The man behind Ben Silverman, and the overwrought late-night war between Conan O'Brien and Jay Leno, stepped down from his position this week, admitting that it was not his choice to do so.

"In the last nine months it became increasingly clear that they did want to put their own team in place -- and I didn't want to end up being a guest in my own house," Zucker tells the NY Times.

Of course, the late night hosts can't let Zucker leave without some well-deserved ribbing. Jimmy Kimmel says, "He held a press conference this morning, and I have to say he was remarkably candid about some of his, well, I guess you'd call them failures."

In the spoof, an actor with an uncanny resemblance to Zucker highlights some of the shows he was responsible for - shows like "Lipstick Jungle," "The Jay Leno Show," and "Daddio," which we haven't even heard of.

"'The Men's Room' really stunk/ "Howie Do It" - I was drunk," he sings to the tune of "We Didn't Start the Fire." Don't miss this one below.

Zucker must have something on the corrupt GE boss cause it sure took a long time to get fired.

The guy in the video is Gary Greenberg, one of Kimmel's writers. He is really funny, and very much on cue! I'm very glad Jeff is gone. The Zuck sucks!

He got what he deserved after screwing up NBC for so long.

wow, that was funny & well-deserved. i don't even remember most of those shows. Zucker really did do a bad job of it.
