'Human Target' moves to Wednesdays, delayed till November
The cancellation of "Lone Star" has led to some more scheduling shifts for FOX -- including the delay of "Human Target's" second-season premiere. The network is moving the "Human Target" premiere -- which had been scheduled for Friday (Oct. 1) -- back to Nov. 17. The show will air at 8 p.m. ET Wednesdays, the timeslot where it aired with decent success last year. The series averaged 9.5 million viewers per episode last year and led the time period in viewers and most demos during its fun.
"Human Target" is moving into the Wednesday spot vacated by "Lie to Me," which is moving to Mondays starting Oct. 4 in the wake of "Lone Star" being pulled. Back-to-back episodes of "Hell's Kitchen" will continue to air on Wednesdays until mid-November.
On Fridays, meanwhile, FOX will plug in reruns of "House" at 8 p.m. to pair with "The Good Guys" at 9.
Season 2 of "Human Target" will introduce two new female characters: billionaire Ilsa Pucci (Indira Varma, "Rome"), who asks Chance (Mark Valley) for protection and becomes his benefactor, and a mysterious operative named Ames (Janet Montgomery), who has a past with Winston (Chi McBride). Jackie Earle Haley returns as Guerrero.

Yea! for Human Target!
Although I am a bit dismayed for the delay (I was looking forward to the premiere this Friday with great anticipation), I am glad that it will be getting its old time slot back. That Friday night is a dead sentence for FOX shows.
I agree with rob w. I'm a little pissed at the delay because I was looking forward to it Friday but I know this change will work out for the better. We all know what FOX did to 'Dollhouse'!
Why couldn't they just move Lone Star to Wednesdays instead of showing back to back Hell's Kitchens?
These people are brainless.
Indira Varma is also well known for playing the villainous Suzie Costello in the first season of Torchwood.
Too bad "The Good Guys" will still have to languish and then die on Fridays. Great show. Sigh.
There was a time when the networks had a cupboard full of shows they could launch to replace their early losers.
It's a testament of how tight things are that they don't have that ready-to-go bench, especially when the talk of the town is apparently that shows should be launched year-round.
"during its fun"? Typo!
I love Human Target and I was really looking forward to it coming back. So I'm disappointed in the delay, but agree that it will probably have a better shot at an audience on Wednesday. Our household will be watching WHENEVER it finally comes back on.
This compounds one dumb move by making another. By mid-November, people will be locked into Undercovers, and won't have any time or interest for Human Target. They'd be better off putting HT on Monday in place of Lone Star, IMHO.
