'Glee': Chris Colfer open to 'cute' on-screen gay kiss

chris-colfer-emmys10-gi-320.jpgGay kisses all around, but will "Glee's" Kurt get in on the action?

Chris Colfer isn't opposed to his character puckering up with his new boyfriend this season, reports E!.

"I'm fine with it," he says at the Emmys. "I don't know how middle America would feel about it, [but] if it's done in a tasteful way ... I want it to be very cute and have people go, 'Aww!'"

We already know that Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera) will be locking lips in a "very organic" way this season, and over on rival comedy "Modern Family," Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) have already filmed their smooch.

Well, while we're at it, are there any other gay kisses you'd like to see on TV?

"Glee" returns for its sophomore season on Tuesday, Sept. 21.

Speaking about same-sex kisses, nothing will ever match Keller and Beecher on "Oz".

Bring it on! It's sad that we have to worry about "middle America" in cases like this. We have to see hetero kissing on every show out there and they make this huge deal about ONE gay kiss ONE time. I say screw middle America. They'll just have to get over it. Gay is here to stay.

This kid sounds like a woman... reminds me season 6, episode 3 of Seinfeld 'The Pledge Drive.' Also, Glee is overrated!

Yes I'm from middle America and I am sick of the gay agenda being pushed down my throat on every newspaper, TV show and where ever else the Gays can gain our attention. I don't dislike Gay people but keep it them selves and leave our young people free from viewing all this junk.

Ethan: Stop being an as*hole, that is his voice and he can't do anything about it. Also, Glee is awesome.

Gerald Burr: Seeing gay representation on the media is harmful to young people? Yeah, you don't sound like a homophobe at all (sarcasm, in case you're not getting it).

Can't wait for that kiss, about time Kurt gets to be in a relationship, he's the only one from the Glee kids who hasn't been in one yet.

Screw middle America. There are tons of young men and women who are gay and trapped in the low-IQ towns of middle America, and THEY are the ones that need to see a shining example of the mainstream media embracing all kinds of love. Gerald Burr and the Christian agenda need to keep their opinions to themselves and inside their church. If you guys keep trying to tell me (and other GLBT people) how to live our lives, I'm going to step foot into YOUR churches and unveil the endless faults with your fictional biblical crap. And I don't think you want that to happen.

Gerald Burr: What is the 'gay agenda' in this case? That the kid can kiss another boy? Is the 'straight agenda' that he can ONLY kiss who YOU think he can kiss?

Love Chris. I think he handles himself very well.

The "gay agenda" is simply to be accepted as human beings and not seen as outsiders in society. How is that a bad thing?

And I have to add: the more times media outlets make a HUGE deal out of any gay kiss in popular culture, it will continue to be seen as exotic and not "normal". So Zap2it, instead of drawing attention to gay kisses on "Glee" and "Modern Family", just let them happen organically without making a huge deal about it.

First homosexuality is Not normal. If it was None of us would be here. But it does exist and cannot be denied.

Second ALL homosexuals are just that homosexuals. You might or might not be "gay", i.e., happy and carefree.

I am straight and enjoy Glee and some other shows with obvious homosexual characters. Because I am straight seeing two men kissing or any other touching sexual portrayal makes me sick to my stomach, is revolting, and has always been the last time I watch that show. NO religion, no phobia or other reason it is just revolting, period.

You who are homosexual have to watch heterosexual romance well I'm sorry. We are normal and you are not or none of us would be here. I would not voice that obvious fact, and not trying to hurt you, if you weren't constantly trying to make something be so that is not so.
