'Fringe' casts Shawn and Aaron Ashmore as alti-versions of each other
"Fringe" becomes more and more brilliant by the day.Acting twin siblings Shawn and Aaron Ashmore will guest star on "Fringe" this fall playing the alternate universe versions of each other, reports Show Patrol, who was on the Vancouver set.
Okay, this is the best idea ever. Let's delve through Hollywood for all the acting twins so that way we don't need any "Parent Trap" trick photography. Olsens? Mowrys? How about getting Brittany Daniel's twin out of acting retirement? Or getting Nicholas Brendan (once he's done with probation) and his bro back into action?
There aren't a lot of details about the Ashmores' stint yet (why ruin the surprise?) but there's lots of action promised.
"We're having fun with it, running around on set and fooling everybody," says Shawn Ashmore. "It's been fun. It's a huge experience and a good show."
Shawn has played Iceman in the "X-men" movies and Leech on "Smallville." Aaron was known as "Jimmy" Olsen on "Smallville."
The third season of "Fringe" will premiere on Thursday, Sept. 23.

Awesome idea, but it will be a waste unless they get the two together for some scenes--which I'm sure is the point. Both are decent actors that I've enjoyed in any number of projects. (Wonder if Linda Hamilton's twin's still open for an appearance or two. Hello, Chuck producers?!?)
