'Bones': David Boreanaz heads back to the director's chair in Season 6
That new TV girlfriend isn't the only addition to David Boreanaz's plate this season on "Bones." The star and producer will also direct two of series' upcoming 23-episode order. A FOX representative confirms to Zap2it that Boreanaz is scheduled to direct multiple episodes later in the season, which TV Guide's Damian Holbrook first tweeted about, indicating episodes 10 and 16. Clearly, it's too early to spill on possible storylines, but given his directorial track record they could either be one-off mysteries of the week -- or game-changing episodes that will change the very fabric of television.
After all, Boreanaz has twice taken the helm at "Bones" before -- once, in Season 4, with the relatively uneventful "The Bones That Foam" and then in Season 5 he tackled the sizable responsibility of directing the series' 100th episode, "The Parts in the Sum of the Whole."
You might better remember that last one as "The Time He Professed His Love to Her and She Stomped on His Heart in Front of 10 Million Hysterically Sobbing Viewers."
[Correction: An earlier version of this article credited David Boreanaz as an executive producer, when he and co-star Emily Deschanel are, in fact, producers.]

Very excited! I love when David directs.
Can't wait to see how the Booth/Hannah relationship works out!
Cool
He's a good director and I think it's what he secretly wants to do in the future as a full time job. With every episode he gets to direct he becomes better and better. The 100th - where "Booth professed his love to her and she stomped on his heart in front of 10 million hysterically sobbing viewers" LOL - although a heartwrenching episode, was a beautiful piece of television.
Cool
does that mean he won't have to act stupid in those episodes ? or more stupid ?
Can't wait to see them because he's really passionate about directing and his episodes always come out great. There are videos on youtube with him directing - he's transformed, so serious and intense and focused.
what if he will direct the ep with the new villain, booth and brennan's new nemesis, the sniper? an action packed thriller ep?
or the ep where she'll profess her love for him?
or even better, what if david will direct the episode with james marsters as guest star? that would be the coolest. james said he's the best director they had on 'angel' and they talked about doing an ep of 'bones' together.
Who cares. I think hes worried his acting career may be coming to an end soon and needs a fall back. I'm sure the producers oversee everything and make sure all shows turn out good. So how much does he really do????
'game-changing episodes that will change the very fabric of television'
Seriously? Wow.
Or maybe he could invite the writers back for that ep.
