'America's Got Talent's' Prince Poppycock: 'It's a dream come true'

poppycock.jpgPrince Poppycock is one of four "America's Got Talent" Season 5 finalists. He tells Zap2it about the experience so far and whether there's been any opera smacktalk between himself and Jackie Evancho.

"It's a dream come true just to be able to produce this kind of act at this level, this production support," Poppycock tells us. "My ideas get to come to life in these really big ways, so it's just really exciting."

With two of the four finalists being opera singers (or as Jackie corrects us, classical crossover singers), is there any backstage opera smacktalk happening?

"Oh, no," he laughs. "Never, she's lovely. She's just great and she has a beautiful voice. It's great just to get opera out in the public consciousness because there's just no melodies more beautiful."

And like Jackie, Prince Poppycock does not consider himself strictly an opera singer.

"I love opera and I'm never going to stop singing it, but I also want to show my versatility," Poppycock explains. "I can front a rock band. I have history in rock n' roll, Broadway and opera, so I want to show my versatiltiy.

Once the "America's Got Talent" ride is over, he can't wait to start his full-blown career whether he wins or not.

"Well, I would love a vacation, that would be great because this has takena  lot otu of me," he laughs. "But hopefully no matter what happens I'm going to be able to start recording. I can't wait to start planning a stage show."

The "America's Got Talent" finale airs Tuesday (Sept. 14) at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.

How incredibly rude and selfish of Peirs/Piers/whatever his name is. Whatever he thinks about Poppycock's performance, it could have waited until that splendid performance was over, rather than destroying it with his stupid buzzing. What terrible manners and what an incredibly juvenile and unprofessional thing to do. Lord. And the Brits think we are rude.

Poppycock why not "over the rainbow" why, why,why.. i so wanted you to win but i know we will see you again!

The Prince still showed his versitility. The winner should be PP (Prince Poppycock) or FG (Fighting Gravity), as they are the ONLY 2 acts that can sustain a 90 min. Vegas show (and that would draw an audience). I don't think the judges should have their buzzers at ALL once the top 10 are selected. I also don't agree with this seasons "Judge's Pick". I thought America voted for the top 4 in all the semi-final rounds, not top 3 plus a judge's pick.

PIERS,YOU STINK,I hope you see this comment, Jackie is not going to win, like Howie said, there are alot of shows that have singers, you buzzed someone that is a true showman, with a terrific sense of humor and a phenomenal voice, and then you go and make your snide remark about him choosing an opera song, like he was afraid Jackie was going to beat him, if you can remember his first audition was an opera song and that was long before Jackie came on the scene, and it was terrific. America liked him from the moment they saw him and if you cant handle the fact that he did another terrific performance tonight showing the magnitude of his voice and his showmanship thats your problem. Showing the serious side of him was a great choice. He's not a stand up comedian and he didnt have to make you laugh and have fun. So get serious and let me tell you what you can do with your buzzer.

We are incensed by Piers' rudeness. We had waited all day to hear Poppycock’s presentation. It would have been so wonderful for the audience to see the Prince end his experience on AGT in peaceful, musical beauty.

Talk about stealing a moment in time. By buzzing Poppycock while building for his finale, Piers startled The Prince and interrupted both him and the audiences focus on Poppycock. Piers is a grand thief. He stole the moment from Poppycock and all of us - accomplishing nothing more than to draw attention away from the performer onto to himself... which he did again after the second performer. A Larry King he will never be... Watch Out CNN!

We are wondering if Piers timed his buzz and hit it purposely to take Poppycock away from challenging Jackie. We had checked the betting odds earlier in the day, and the odds were very close. Perhaps Piers had a personal or financial reason for Jackie to win and he wanted to clear the deck for her. We wish he would walk the plank. John Quale did not deserve what Piers did to him during his last magnificent moments. Piers actions were cruel and unfair. They should disqualify the show’s finale and do it all over again.

PRINCE POPPYCOCK IS ON THE THRONE AND POPPYCOCK RULES!

John is an artist in every sense of the word. He is the only act on AGT that I would pay money to see. Piers is one big jackass for buzzing an artist at a crucial moment of a performance. He seemed to have it in for Prince Poppycock. I bet it is all down to dollars and ego. Remember Piers said "remember I am the one who discovered you" to Jackie last week. He has something invested in her.

I am in total agreement with the comments aimed at Piers Morgan, totally uncalled for, these performers have been voted as top four and should have been allowed to do there thing without the stupid ,childish actions of a so called adult. It was very rude and I agree with Sharon's comments he was directing the attention to himself and away from the performance, makes you think ?

Piers stole from Prince Poppycock tonight and it was incredibly selfish, self indulgent and petchulant. But he not only stole from PP with his tempter tantrum he stole from me, he stole from you, he stole from America. We spent months watching the show, we invested our time and our energy and many of us invested our money and our votes....We expect something for that investment, we expect at this level of the competition, excellent entertainment and at the hight of the show, the grand finale, we demand nothing less for our hard earned time and money.

Dont get me wrong, a petuchlant, self indulgent temper-tantrum may be wonderfully juicy to watch on Jersey shore, but it is abusive and insulting to us the season long viewer who wants to see the great climax to all of that time, practice, passion, and creativity. And the show has a lot to answer for IMO because they intentionally capitalize on the American dream with all the little vignettes about how each contestant is "reaching for thier dreams", that this would mean the world to them and they often tell us that while tearing up right in the camera..

If a show is going to profit on the intimate, fiercely personal, dreams of the talent in America, and profit on America the audience as well, as we live vicariously, and invest ourselves in thier lives and thier dreams, then we need to demand that in thier final hour, that hour they spent thier whole lives working towards, that every contestant get thier moment to shine, and be miraculous and resplendent upon the stage with out interruption.

The network to make Piers apologize and he absolutely needs to be fired.

Again dont think that I dont love biting criticism and acidic witticism, and I actually dont mind pomposity from English judges and I expect a panel of differing opinions, but this was not that, this was someone who actually thought he was more important then America, and denied millions of us the opportunity to have that intense climax we have all been building up for... Thanks a lot you British twit, for Poppycock blocking America.

I was so excited to watch AGT, and then "Mr. Moron" had to go and press the buzzer. If anyone remembers the "Rodeo Song", my thought was "PMOFJ"!

I like all four of the final contestants, and have nothing negative to say about any of them. However, if I were spending my hard earned money to see only one of these four acts - my choice would definitely be Prince Poppycock!
Each act is talented in their own unique way, but Prince Poppycock is the type of talent that I like. That is why I have consistently voted for him all along, and I hope he will win.

Bravo to Prince Poppycock!

As for Mr. Moron....which ever side of the bed he gets up on....it's always the wrong one!
