'American Idol's' Adam Lambert gets pep talks from Lady Gaga, Madonna

adam-lambert-320-getty.jpg"American Idol" finalist Adam Lambert just wrapped the U.S. leg of his tour and is now jet-setting off for a second international go-round.

This time his tour includes Japan, New Zealand and Australia. And he tells Australia's Daily Telegraph about the wonderful advice he has received from Lady Gaga and Madonna.

"[Lady Gaga] worked really, really hard before she made it. She told me there's no glamour, you don't get a lot of sleep, you don't get a lot of stability in your social life - you just have to count on yourself and go for it. It was a good pep talk. And she was right," Lambert says.

"[Madonna] told me that you can't get wrapped up in all the media and message boards, that everyone's going to have an opinion," he continues. "People will criticize you especially when you're doing it well. You can't do much better than getting career advice from Madonna. She's the queen, right?"

"I think my style has an international flavour. It's not your typical Americana type of performing," Lambert says. "Internationally I don't think people shy away from flamboyance as much as Americans might."

Some of us Americans LOVE Adam's flamboyance!!!

Adam, don't listen to Gaga. You can make it as good or as stable as you want. the ppl you tour with can be like family and provide a stable social outlet. Gaga is such a martyr, don't get sucked into her ways and her downward spiral she's heading for.
