'American Idol': The judges announcement announcement
The "American Idol" judges have been announced! Wait, that's not right. The "American Idol" judges have been announced that they are going to be announced. The long national nightmare is finally coming to a close. The big day is Wednesday (Sept. 22) at The Forum in Los Angeles, which is coincidentally the site of the recently-added Los Angeles auditions for Season 10. Which means Zap2it will be on the scene to bring all the details and drama.
Chances look pretty good that the judges panel will consist of Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, but we're holding out hope that J-Lo and Mr. Aerosmith himself have been smoke screens for Harry Connick Jr. and Shania Twain. We are not optimistic.
Get ready, "Idol" fans. The craziness is about to begin.

An announcement to announce. WTF is the matter with these people? It's not suspenseful, if that's what they're going for. It has become a good old fashioned pain in the A**. That element of surprise ship has sailed! It's Jlo and Steven Tyler. If not Tyler, he is probably talking to his attorney about now. That might be newsworthy. The rest of this is yesterday's news. Must be giving Simon, with his British humor, quite a chuckle. Very amusing what!
Who cares? The only newsworthy thing would be is if it isn't Tyler, and his impending lawsuit. That would be worth following. Must be giving Simon a few chuckles by now. For the rest of us a horse laugh or two. Sorry AI, you lost the who give a **** factor when you dished Paula.
I'm okay with Steven Tyler (even though he's difficult to look at), but Shania Twain should have gotten the job instead of Jennifer Lopez. Shania was far more successful and is still seen as a legend. J-Lo is becoming somewhat of a joke at this point.
All three could be fired and I'd be content with Harry Connick Jr. Shania would be fantastic too. I sure has heck hope that Lythgoe knows what he's doing.
This is going be its last season, which I can only hope it will be.
God forbid this won't be a televised special to announce the plans, ala the LeBron James "decision." That was hardly suspenseful.
If American Idol wants a better show, choosing Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler as judges is so not the way to go. Adding one celebrity is fine, to fill Paula's shoes, or seat, but the third judge should be an unknown, or a respected individual from the music industry...who will be honest and critical. You'd think with Nigel Lithgoe back as producer, he would have corrected this. I personally would like to see someone like David Foster as a judge.
What is this, the dozenth time we've been through this?
Why not just wait until the show preimiers to tell us the judges?
I just don't get it. Steven Tyler will add a lot of humor and excitement to the show along with honesty. He will not hesitate to tell it like it is. J Lo, I'm not as sure about, but I think Harry Connick and Shania together would be plain boring and predictable. I'm looking forward to the new season and hope Steven is one of the new judges. Yeah!!
