'American Idol': Cloris Leachman calls Jennifer Lopez 'boring'

The new "American Idol" judges are just settling in, and one should already be taking cover."Jennifer Lopez is boring," Cloris Leachman tells Zap2it.
Leachman, never known for being circumspect, recalls that she was interested in being on Idol, but not as Simon Cowell's replacement where her searing honesty would have been at home. What she really wanted was to be up on that stage.
"I wanted to go on 'American Idol,' but you have to be under 28," Leachman says.
Should she ever be eligible, you can bet the 84-year-old former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant and current star of FOX's "Raising Hope" would give an audition to remember.
