2010 VMAs: Kanye West's 'Runaway' toasts 'scumbags,' among others

While Taylor Swift's response to last year's MTV Video Music Awards was a serious ballad performed barefoot, Kanye West went ... another way. He performed "Runaway" and the lyrics to the chorus are as follows:"Let's have a toast for the a**holes/ Let's have a toast for the d*****bags/ Let's have a toast for the scumbags, every one of them that I know/ Let's have a toast for the jerk-offs that'll never take work off/ Baby I gotta plan, run away fast as you can."
Kanye also had three ballerinas dancing around the stark, white stage, he wore a bright red suit and, by song's end, the crowd was chanting his name. We aren't really sure what to make of the performance or the song, but we'll have video for you as soon as we can get it.

Umm Taylor's was stupid, it made less sense, Kanye was acknowledging he makes mistakes, that he's a human.

So random. I thought he wrote a "beautiful" song for Taylor, or so he tweeted. Maybe this isn't the song her wrote for Swift...
he's an a-hole, at its worst. why everyone was chanting his name like he's a bonafide superstar is beyond me...and why mtv chose him to close the show only reinforces his a-hole actions.
