TV ratings: 'Big Brother' powers CBS to Thursday title
Fast National ratings for Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010The latest elimination on "Big Brother 12" led CBS to a ratings win Thursday night, while "Rookie Blue" continued to put up decent summer numbers for ABC.
CBS averaged 6.7 million viewers and a 4.2 rating/8 share in households for the night, which was good enough to beat out ABC (6.1 million, 3.7/7) for the top spot in the Nielsens. FOX came in third with 4.7 million viewers and a 3.0/5. NBC (3 million, 2.0/4) finished fourth, while The CW (1.2 million, 0.8/1) brought up the rear.
ABC and CBS tied for the lead among adults 18-49, each scoring a 1.6 rating. FOX was not far behind at 1.4. NBC drew a 1.1 and The CW a 0.4.

ABC: "Wipeout" rerun (6.5 million, 3.8/7)
FOX: "Glee" rerun (3.8 million, 2.5/5)

The CW: "Moonlight" rerun (1.1 million, 0.7/1)

Rookie Blue was stellar last night. One of the best net shows ever done. Amazing script, amazing acting, amazing...everything. Too bad nobody watched!!! ABC needs to do some serious promotion and generate genuine buzz around this show. The potential is awesome.

Big Brother 12 is the best TV show of all time! Big Brother has been the best TV show since it started in the year 2000 :-)

oh yea, anything wt Jackie Chan hosted on tv, will suck big time, not sure why the old man keep her on tv still.
Putting it lightly, that was one of the strongest Rookie Blue episodes of the season. Hope it keeps going up in the ratings. Next week looks stellar as well!
