The CW's 'Shedding for the Wedding' taps Sara Rue as host
Sara Rue may be best known for roles on "Less Than Perfect" and "Eastwick" and her recent spokesperson deal with Jenny Craig, but for us, she'll always be Carmen Ferrara from Ryan Murphy's "Popular." So it goes without saying that we're excited to hear she's landed a new job
The Live Feed reports The CW signed her to host its midseason reality series, "Shedding for the Wedding." First announced in May, the show puts 10 overweight couples in a the same house, where they'll vie to lose the most weight over three months. Each week, the couple that loses the least amount of weight gets sent packing, and the last two standing get their wedding paid for -- and possibly televised.
Rue's an obvious choice as a motivational host, having just dropped 40 pounds herself since signing with Jennie Craig.
